What customers say
This campsite offers a "wild camping" experience with the convenience of toilets and showers. Reviewers frequently praise the friendly and helpful staff, spacious pitches, peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful views. Some guests noted that paths to pitches can be muddy, and facilities like sinks are limited. While most found the facilities adequate, a few mentioned issues with toilet paper availability or distance to amenities. The site is generally well-regarded for its natural feel and seclusion.

It felt like a rip off compared to other campsites.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked There are some nice views.
The tents are quite far from each other.
Disliked This was not a very pleasant camping experience mainly because the facilities are not set up for so many campers. It might be more pleasant during quiter periods.
-The parking around the house is tiny and very awkward to unload if groups are unloading and blocking entrances/exits.
-The road is in a bad state before the house and up to the car park where the entrance is a sandpit.
-There is one tap, 1 shower and 4 toilets and there were 40 to 50 people over the weekend. It should not take much effort to install another tap. No sink for washing dishes etc.
-No toilet paper on Sunday morning between 8:30 and 11am while the host was walking around.
-It seems like the site is trying to fit as many people in as possible while not spending money on basic facilities such as taps, sinks or the road.

From the manager: We are a Wild Campsite and more than fairly priced. The road is repaired at least twice a year but in North Wales it rains a lot hence it washes away. The toilet paper issue could have been solved by asking as sadly people do take them but we would have been ore than happy for you to have your own from reception. I think the bottom line it was the wrong venue for your break and am sorry you were disappointed..
Nice quiet site with decent space between pitches.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The campsite is spread out within trees and small openings so even when it’s busy, it still doesn’t feel crowded or busy as it’s not one open space. Each space is a decent size and has its own fire pit. It’s nice and quiet as it is away from main roads and attractions which also means little light pollution.
Disliked The toilet and shower facilities are serviceable but could be better. There is also no sink to wash hands in.

Lovely wild camping experience let down by groups and noise.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Spacious pitches, friendly host.
Disliked Lots of groups which meant there was lots of late night noise until around 2am- not very relaxing and made it difficult to sleep, facilities weren’t maintained, no toilet paper.

From the manager: I am sorry you were disturbed but if you had come to reception and told us the people would have been spoken to and probably asked to leave although we had no other complaints.
Our toilets are checked every hour to make sure there is toilet paper and in fact we have never had that complaint. If you had come to reception we would have immediately re-stocked the toilets so sorry for your inconvenience.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Really enjoyed my stay. Loads of spots to choose from and a lot more secluded than your normal field. From reception to a spot can be a walk but overall not bad at all. Toilets and a hot shower and access to drinking water. All you need really.
