What customers say

This is a beautifully maintained, peaceful riverside site praised for its exceptional cleanliness, spacious and level pitches, and friendly, helpful staff. Facilities, including toilets, showers, and a dog wash, are consistently described as immaculate. Guests particularly enjoyed the tranquil setting, riverside access for paddling and walks, and convenient location for exploring the local area. A highlight is the on-site observatory with a telescope. While minor points were raised regarding shower pressure and the walk to the village, the overwhelming feedback is positive, with many visitors expressing a desire to return.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Absolutely pristine pitches and landscaping. Wonderful welcome and goodbye from the staff. Our pitches were next to the river and we were able to talk to the cows when they came for a drink! WiFi really good and loved the dog wash and dryer!! My sisters dog loved the dog park and made lots of friends. The dark skies were incredible. Very chilled

Disliked The star gazing dome was too dirty to see the stars and we couldn’t work out the telescope. Not much to do for under 12s.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch (premium)

Liked Everything, facilities and grounds were immaculate, modern and well maintained. The staff were amazing.
Loved the star gazing pod.
Nice quiet site, where children have plenty of room to play and be children.
The dog walking area was fantastic, my 2 spaniels did not want to leave, plenty of room for them to be off their leads and run, they even have a dog shower and dryer on site which was perfect after my dogs went swimming in the river. The river has very shallow parts for children to paddle in also.
Our children are 8 and 14, and they had a great time.
The site is remote, but perfect if your are looking for some family time and looking to explore the beautiful scenery.
Upon arrival we got a welcome pack which contained 2 activity packs and pencils for the children and 2 tennis balls for the dogs , great touch!!

Electric grass pitch (riverside)

Liked Beautiful, well tendered, quiet site. The shower block and facilities had everything. Even an iron! Helpful staff and lovely walks. Also close enough to walk into town where there are lovely pubs, shops tea rooms etc

Disliked Nothing at all!
Maybe the sheep and cows a little noisy at night! We had earplugs, so no problem

Liked Fantastic site - really friendly greeting on arrival with lots of useful info. Pitches large and well spaced, lovely river walk where our dogs could paddle, great dog park complete with basket of tennis balls and toys. Lovely circular walk into Presteigne, loos clean and even had a dog wash. More attention to detail than we have come across at any other site. We will definitely be back 👍👍

Electric grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked It was a really peaceful stay and the pitches gave you plenty of space between us and our neighbours. The facilities were really good and there was even a specific place were you could wash the dog! Whilst we did not meet the team on site we did contact them prior to arrival and they were helpful and gave us some good advice. We were also sent an email about the hot weather and local events which was unexpected but nice to receive.

Local attractions

Presteigne is a compact spot but it’s well worth swinging by for a look at The Judge's Lodging, an award-winning museum five minutes’ drive away that gives an insight into the grandeur of the masters’ lives on the top floors versus the servants who lived down below. Not so much further on is Knighton (10 minutes) with its community and arts centres for rainy days, along with a local railway link and access to Glyndŵr's Way for wanders along a path named after a Welsh legend. Another 10 minutes (20 from the park) from there is the Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre for a glimpse of animals ranging from miniature horses to nocturnal birds. Top towns are scattered around this rural region too: think Leominster (30 minutes away) for sights like grand Berrington Hall (40 minutes) with its views over to the Black Mountains; the famed book and festival town of Hay-on-Wye (35 minutes); or Ludlow to see the castle and Tudor buildings or peruse posh boutiques (40 minutes).
