Talloires, Haute-Savoie, France
Electric optional grass pitch
Liked A great location right next to the lake with very nice bars and restaurants
Campsite is large and broken into areas.
Seemed very friendly, laid back and had no issues
Disliked The entrance to the site is on quite a slope and straight onto cycleway (which is often busy) and then directly onto road, good clutch control is essential!
Toilets could have seats and showering is a bit of a lottery for warm water. But it was 34° hot and sunny so that didn't worry us too much.
Shop although quite large was more or less empty but we were at end of season.

Amstelveen, North Holland, The Netherlands
Electric optional hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch (large, maximum 8 metres, waterside)
Liked A very nice riverside park well situated for cycling into Amsterdam on a good cycle path network. Bus stop just outside site, bus 199 into airport then train to Amsterdam takes about 1hr and cost about £17
Clean well organised site, small shop for essentials
Disliked Nothing to dislike

Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Wales
Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Friendly welcome, nice serviced pitch (water, electric & waste drain) although our pitch was sloping and definitely needed ramps.
Toilets and showers nice, clean, and well appointed. Showers are good, and the water temp good, but remember to take 50p pieces (50p for 5mins and the water really does shut off completely bang on 5 minutes).
Electric metered on pitch (cost us £1.20 for two nights).
Cycled down into Abergavenny 10 mins cycle back UP 35mins
A pretty site with great views and stunning sunsets over Sugar Loaf and surrounding countryside.
Disliked Not a 'dis-like' but 'a don't feel right' the site would benefit from a recycling system, it seemed foreign to me now-a-days to dump all the rubbish in one container
(although maybe the local council does have a recycling policy?)

Ilfracombe, Devon, England
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Very happy with grass pitch no.14 - good location on site. Staff were very friendly and helpful - firstly giving us our "over 50's discount" in cash, which we hadn't received on booking, providing a free drink in the bar due to initial mix-up with pitch booking (we had tried to book a pitch with a hard-standing, but these were being booked by phone at the same time as we were booking on line with Pitch-up, however we actually preferred the location of our grass pitch, so all good in the end), friendly bar staff and help with emptying the waste tank on our motorhome.
Excellent toilet and shower facilities.
Enjoyed walking to SawMills and along the coast path towards Ilfracombe. Also enjoyed walking to Coombe Martin and back via Berrynarbour.

From the manager: Thank you for your great review of Mill Park, it is very much appreciated. We are really glad that you enjoyed your time with us. Thank you for your understanding with the simultaneous bookings coming in from the online booking system, Pitchup booking system and phone bookings - its rare but it does happen. We are happy that you liked your alternate pitch. We look forwards to welcoming you back to stay with us again soon
