What customers say

Rockbridge Park is a highly-rated, well-maintained site with spacious, level pitches and a beautiful riverside location. Visitors praise the immaculate, modern facilities, friendly and helpful staff, and excellent dog amenities, including a washroom and off-lead area. The peaceful atmosphere and stunning scenery are frequently mentioned, along with good Wi-Fi. While some noted the push-button showers and a desire for a children's play area or on-site shop, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many recommending and intending to return.

Electric grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked Pretty much everything. The park was quiet and well maintained, the facilities were clean and the showers actually had hot water unlike most touring parks. We were unfortunate that hurricane Amy blew through as we arrived, so we didn't get much use out of our telescope, and none out of theirs.

Disliked The site had WiFi, but it didn't allow us to connect to the internet.

Electric grass pitch (riverside)

Liked Fantastic quality site. Extremely well laid out. Very friendly staff. The dome for star gazing was amazing. One of the best sites we have been to apart from location.

Disliked A 20 minute walk through fields in to town. Very limited eateries in town. 3* rating for location as we have a campervan that we pitch up and look to use local transport. This site would suit someone with a car and caravan better.

From the manager: Thank you for the honest review. We are glad that you enjoyed the site and what we have on offer.

We are rural in location with Presteigne over a mile away but this does mean we have some fantastic views and people get the peaceful break that they need. I'm sorry to hear that there were not enough eateries in Presteigne, they do have a lovely selection from an Italian, Chinese and a Chip Shop.

Quiet retreat with excellent facilities.

Electric grass pitch (riverside)

Liked The site is lovely and maintained well. The toilets and shower block was very clean. Great location with pathways to explore into the town. The star dome was very impressive.

Disliked Could do with a bistro or bar for snacks and goodies.

From the manager: Thank you for the lovely review and the great photos we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are very lucky to have the star gazing dome and the dark skies here.

We would love to have a bar or bistro on site but we like to support the local town and not loose what we have there. We are looking at other options though so watch this space.

We hope to be welcoming back to Rockbridge Park in the future.

Electric grass pitch (riverside)

Liked Lovely peaceful site which was well maintained. Perfectly flat grass pitch which was ideal for our tent box. The welcome pack was thoughtful and we used it to walk to the local town.

Disliked The star gazing dome was a wonderful idea, however we took the kids up at 11pm - it was a beautifully clear night but we couldn’t get the telescope to work. Two other families joined us and had the same issue so we left here disappointed. There is a laminated sheet with the telescope which shows the labelled dials - not sure if it’s faulty or needs better instructions.

From the manager: Thank you for the lovely review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us here at Rockbridge.

We have removed the telescope from the dome at the moment, it is available to borrow but we are then able to talk people through how to use the telescope. When you find the moon it is phenomenal.

We hope to welcome back to Rockbridge Park in the future.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch (premium)

Liked Beautiful site lovely welcome from the young lady and gent at reception, great touch giving out tennis balls to dogs on arrival they loved playing with them in the designated off leash area. Quiet and peaceful just what we needed to recharge our batteries. Had a lovely stream running through the site where the dogs had a dip after going on long walks. Our pitch was a great size good space between other pitches. Would highly recommend walks “ water break it’s neck” and “ Llandrindod wells” the scenery was spectacular.

Local attractions

Presteigne is a compact spot but it’s well worth swinging by for a look at The Judge's Lodging, an award-winning museum five minutes’ drive away that gives an insight into the grandeur of the masters’ lives on the top floors versus the servants who lived down below. Not so much further on is Knighton (10 minutes) with its community and arts centres for rainy days, along with a local railway link and access to Glyndŵr's Way for wanders along a path named after a Welsh legend. Another 10 minutes (20 from the park) from there is the Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre for a glimpse of animals ranging from miniature horses to nocturnal birds. Top towns are scattered around this rural region too: think Leominster (30 minutes away) for sights like grand Berrington Hall (40 minutes) with its views over to the Black Mountains; the famed book and festival town of Hay-on-Wye (35 minutes); or Ludlow to see the castle and Tudor buildings or peruse posh boutiques (40 minutes).
