Liked Beautiful scenery, immaculate site, impressive garden area, dragonfly, water feature, and dome.
Site staff were very friendly, had a wonderful couple of days ,only wish we had cut our stay short in Tenby and had longer here.

Disliked Nothing about the site, just a few inconsiderate people in a tent talking loudly until midnight on the Saturday night .

Liked Lovely location with walks into Presteigne. Quite, rural and the river was a hot with our son who would have played there all day. The staff were helpful and friendly at all times.

Disliked Nothing.

Liked Very nice site, with big pitche, clean facilities and friendly staff. Lovely positioned near a river and with direct access to it, great for relaxing holidays and very dog friendly. Our dog loved the enclosed dog field , and he was even welcomed with a tennis ball as a gift at Check in😍 Dogs even have their own shower and shampoo if needed. Facilities were very nice. toilets and showers were clean, nice dishwashing area, a few books, magazines and games available to borrow too. And of course the cherry on top and the main reason we wanted to see this campsite, the amazing sky full of stars (never seen so many and so beautiful to be fair) and their observatory with the telescope. Really nice touch 👌 There is no shop on site (they sell some ice cream though), so if you forget something at home your only choice is walking 30 min to Preisteigne or drive there if you can.

Disliked The bright lights near the observatory which obstructed the much expected views. We have still enjoyed the stars from the pitch but with the telescope not a lot of luck (the EV charger next to the dome was making so much light and was reflecting too much directly on it) . The cozy area created there is amazing and definitely a nice touch but would be even better in a darker area of the campsite 😁

From the manager: Thank you for the great review. We are are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and got to see the fantastic night skies we have been having at the moment. They have been incredible. Here at Rockbridge we like to make sure everyone is included when staying with us (even the dogs). We have started a small shop onsite with non perishable items but we are always open to suggestions if there is something you think would be great. You never know what we may have next year.

Hopefully we will see you again soon

Liked Dog wash excellent. Dog off lead area good. River for dog was a positive. Friendly staff. Facilities clean.

Disliked Multi-party bookings. 5 pitches taken up by one large group making lot of noise until midnight. Coin slot in Laundry positioned out of reach for short people.

Liked Liked the location it was very peaceful. The facility were well looked after. Our dog loved the river. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time there.

Disliked People from the other side walking across our pitch. It would be great if they had another facility block down the other end of the touring and camping area.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for the lovely review, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and you all got chance to enjoy the river too. We have taken on board your feedback regarding people walking across pitches. We do have a path that they can use to walk to the facilities from the other end of the touring but we will look into how we can address this.

We hope we will see you again soon at Rockbridge Park.

What customers say

Rockbridge Park offers a peaceful retreat with spacious, well-maintained pitches, many by the river. Facilities, including toilets, showers, and a dog wash, are consistently praised for cleanliness. The staff are frequently described as friendly and helpful. Guests appreciate the scenic location and nearby walking routes. While most visitors have an excellent experience, a few have noted issues with shower temperature control and occasional noise from other guests.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Easy check in, everything clearly signposted and lots of thoughtful details such as the dog off lead area. Facilities were very clean and well kept, as well as the paths and pitches. The site is surrounded by nature and there is no traffic sounds, only birds, the stream and trees, it was blissful. Easy distance from Ludlow and perfect for walks. We are definitely going to stay again.

Local attractions

Presteigne is a compact spot but it’s well worth swinging by for a look at The Judge's Lodging, an award-winning museum five minutes’ drive away that gives an insight into the grandeur of the masters’ lives on the top floors versus the servants who lived down below. Not so much further on is Knighton (10 minutes) with its community and arts centres for rainy days, along with a local railway link and access to Glyndŵr's Way for wanders along a path named after a Welsh legend. Another 10 minutes (20 from the park) from there is the Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre for a glimpse of animals ranging from miniature horses to nocturnal birds. Top towns are scattered around this rural region too: think Leominster (30 minutes away) for sights like grand Berrington Hall (40 minutes) with its views over to the Black Mountains; the famed book and festival town of Hay-on-Wye (35 minutes); or Ludlow to see the castle and Tudor buildings or peruse posh boutiques (40 minutes).
