Back to nature, close to town
Nice pitch and patio area

  • Dog-friendly 50-acre site in the grounds of a Georgian mansion
  • Spectacular views towards the Venlaw hills
  • On the edge of Peebles and near the river Tweed
Peeps and their pooches – you should come to Rosetta Holiday Park. As it's a sure bet you'll find something to feast your eyes on round these parts, whether that’s the 50 miles of mountain bike trails at Glentress Forest or piles of lovely wares in town… Peebles has lots of artsy attractions and several festivals. Nearby, the river Tweed is internationally famous for salmon fishing too: the Peebles town motto and crest even has three salmon a-leaping up the water. All in all, rather fab. Right on the edge of Peebles, Rosetta Holiday Park is an attentively manicured site which welcomes families and dogs. It's set over 50 acres with spectacular views towards the Venlaw Hills, so it's a feast for your eyes.

What customers say

Rosetta Holiday Park offers spacious pitches in beautiful, well-maintained parkland, a short walk from Peebles. Visitors frequently praise the friendly and helpful staff, the peaceful atmosphere, and excellent dog walking facilities. While the grounds and location are highly rated, some reviewers note that the toilet and shower blocks are dated, though generally clean and warm. A few mention the site can be expensive and lacks some amenities, but many express a desire to return.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked This is a huge, beautiful site, set in absolutely stunning grounds. It's a mile from beautiful Peebles. We had the most amazing stay & can't understand why it wasn't packed out! The staff were very friendly & though the facilities were a bit dated, they were very clean & well maintained. The dog walking wood and field was huge, with fantastic views.

Disliked Nothing to dislike!

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked We camped regularly at Rosetta with family and friends over 30 years ago in tents and trailer tents and was saddened when the site closed.
My husband and I now have a campervan and was delighted to hear the site had reopened.
The site has not changed and has always had beautiful grounds. The toilets are clean the showers have hot running water and the building is warm. The pitches are large with good ehu

Disliked It will take time to rebuild the customers again but it needs to be advertised more as many of my family members did not know the site had reopened. The cost per night is a bit pricey
Once customer numbers build facilities can be improved

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Nothing about this site except the nearness to the lovely town of Peebles . The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly

Disliked Extremely disappointing. The most expensive site I’ve stayed on in Scotland since I started travelling in my motorhome since 2013. £120 for 3 nights plus another £30 to park a car in what was an almost empty site. I’ve stayed here in the past many times when it was busy and thriving. Now it’s tired. One other caravan was there on our first night and another camper arrived the next. On our 3rd day two more units arrived and it’s a big site. This was the middle of July!!!! Supposed to have been updated, a couple of new toilet cisterns and a cheap wooden top around the sinks!! The bin in the ladies loo wasn’t even emptied in the 3 nights I was there. I would not recommend Rosetta at all. There wasn’t even a plug in the dishwashing area. How can they charge this amount for next to no facilities. I have stayed in many sites all over Scotland and this comes very near the bottom of my list

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
I'm sorry you were disappointed with your stay with us. If I may address some of you issues. The toilet blocks are dated, BUT are clean, warm and have unlimited hot water with good pressure to the showers. This is reflected in other reviews, and the good reviews about the toilets blocks, FAR out number the bad.
We take great pride in our park and keep the grounds looking amazing and not tired, again reflected in other reviews. The two man team on the park work extremely hard, to keep the park a pleasant place to visit and give a friendly welcome to our guests.

A very nice relaxed site with plenty of space and clean facilities.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Loved the open spaces around the site and the pitches made it feel private and a quiet relaxed site.
Great location with an easy flat walk into town and to nearby walks.
Good greeting and virtual tour of the site and you felt welcome and free from rules.
Plenty of toilets and showers available.

Disliked Only 1 dog poo bin on site. Would suggest a 2nd one around the toilet block to encourage people to use the correct bins.
Nothing else to dislike.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked I arrived here with an open mind after reading a few poor reviews to discover a gem of a touring site. The pitches are huge with so much space between vans, and the surrounding grounds are so well kept and maintained. The toilet blocks are old but cleaned to a very high standard, absolutely no issues from me.It is a good 15 min walk into Peebles and another 5mins to the River Tweed which hosts numerous walks for all abilities. The man on Reception (Didn't catch his name)was very pleasant and informative which was nice. Will definitely return to Rosetta in the future.

Disliked Nothing, even the weather was outstanding.

Local attractions

One of the many highlights of the Scottish Borders is that, while the region is rightly popular with savvy holidaymakers, it remains off the mass tourist track so you can gleefully pursue your pastimes without areas becoming overcrowded. Fishing is one of the most popular pursuits in the area is because of Peebles’ proximity to the River Tweed, on the top scale of salmon fishing rivers in the world. Go out on your own with your rod licence or bag a trip/course from one of the many local angling centres nearby; the Tweed and its tributaries yield wild trout and grayling too. Elsewhere in the area, anglers have acres of lochs for coarse fishing and the Berwickshire coast nearby for sea angling – and views – off Eyemouth, Burmouth and St Abbs. The mountain bike trails of Glentress Forest, three miles away, are another big draw for active visitors – the Tweed Bike Festival is held here in May and June and Glentress/Innerleithen are part of the world famous 7stanes mountain biking trails. The award-winning centre at Glentress has trails of all grades and a most modern visitor centre with bike wash, bike hire and a bike shop. The Tweed Love Bike Festival is held at Peebles in early summer, but if you miss it/aren’t a mountain biker, several other festivals cover several other tastes such as arts, jazz, food, Highland Games, Rugby Sevens and the traditional week-long Beltane Festival. Dramatic highlights like shows at the Eastgate can be had at any time of the year, as can sampling fresh local produce in the town’s hotels and restaurants, park and river walks by the Tweed and the prerequisite till-ringing at the Old Town and School Brae. As well as Peebles, the Borders has plenty of other characterful towns to seek out such as Selkirk, Jedburgh, Galashiels and the Borders’ biggest town Hawick; those looking for even brighter lights can make their way to Edinburgh, just 20 miles away.
