Electric grass touring pitch
Liked There was a well stocked shop on site, and the pool/sauna/steam room is free to use and limits guests to hourly slots so it doesn't get busy.
There was an acoustic singer for Thursday evening, a one hr slot, she was very good. The pint was nice in the bar and it's dog friendly.
Disliked I won't be returning as we were moved to another camp after the first night, 30 mins down the road for our own safety, due to ongoing issues the camp was having with a large group of long staying traveller guests (as i understood it). The police were on site our first night and then we were asked if we would accept another campsite due the issues escalating. We left immediately, and I did appreciate that the staff did not leave us there in amongst escalating troubles, thank you, though I must leave an honest review.
I wasn't particularly happy anyway with the campsite as the toilets were a mess, you had to pay for WiFi, it was in a signal blackspot, the changing room showers didn't work in the leisure centre, and £16 was on the dear side for an average pizza in the bar (which seemed like a frozen pizza warmed up). There weren't any decent, immediately accessible by foot, walking trails either. I jumped at the chance when they asked if I could move site (Coldingham site was far superior).

Spacious pitch
Disliked Put on a pitch which had metal anchor points sticking out the gravel. We couldn’t see these at first as they were the same colour as the gravel.
So lucky that we missed going over them - we were literally inches away and had just paid a fortune for brand new tyres!!!
These should a least be sprayed yellow so they are more obvious.

Liked Lovely park, kept immaculate. The shower block always smells of bleach and is very clean. Staff are so friendly and polite! Actually I’m thinking of renting a full year pitch here! Loved every minute.
Disliked Couldn’t find a fault, the shop closed on Sunday but there was a sign up explaining why. Things happen so didn’t affect our stay. We just went to the bar for wine 😂

Liked Park areas was fantastic.
Football/basketball pitch/court was outstanding and best we’ve ever seen.
Disliked The site has security at night but no barrier which means there was more travellers than holiday makers on the touring pitches.
The manager even came over to tell two caravans to leave as they where not booked in and they were still there a week later
This lead to commercial vans going in and out all day meaning my kids could not ride around freely.
This is the first site I’ve ever been on where this is clearly a problem but yet the company have done nothing to resolve it!!
You are only allowed 1hour in the swimming pool facilities even if it was low on numbers which we were not told until we were already in and then asked to get out (this includes changing time).
The site and area were lovely but unfortunately we will not be returning to this site unless they have an entrance barrier and more control over their site.

Disliked Toilets/showers could have been kept on top of a little more frequently in terms of being clean. They block could do with an upgrade but is useable.

Disliked Seemed to be a lot of people staying on the site and living and working from there meaning alot of sign written vans with ladders on, the speed driven on the site by these users was a lot higher than necessary so allowing the kids to ride the bikes was an issue.
