What customers say
This campsite boasts a stunning, scenic location close to Oban, with many guests praising the beautiful views and friendly, helpful staff. Facilities are generally reported as clean, though some mention they are dated and could benefit from upgrades. While many enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and spacious pitches, a significant number of reviews highlight issues with unlevel, muddy, or poorly defined pitches, particularly for larger vehicles, and concerns regarding the water supply. Ongoing development work was also noted by several visitors.

Liked Lots of spaces to pitch up. Seeing highland cows
Nice surrounding views
Disliked Wish we had known in advance re no drinking water other than boiling it.
Toliets being cleaned at 9.30 which is crazy as this is surely busier period.
Expensive site for the facilities provided.
Toliets etc need upgrade.
Looked like a building site what with all the diggers in use rather than building work done out of season. No staff available after 5pm . We won't be retuning

Easy camp base, close to Oban, ticks boxes.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Nice location. Toilets/showers and dish wash dotted about the site, so if it’s had been too busy at one I think you could easily wander to another for a shower.
Shower was hot and not on a 10 second timer which is always good.
Had a little kitchen room with kettle, toaster and microwave if needed.
I knew about the water supply not being drinkable without boiling so we bought a large 5 litre water to save us from having to boil the water from the taps to drink. So just a reminder if you go.
Disliked Would love the little shop to be open a bit later or open earlier but it’s manageable.

Disliked They didn't even care to filter the water. Grass is actually mud. Doesn't have any format for caravans.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Access to hot water for washing up.
Toilets and showers were clean.
Good location for access to the Kerrera Ferry (albeit a bit of a hike).
Disliked The site is up a steep hill so be prepared to add a fair Hike on at the end of a long day adventuring.
The Water is unsuitable to drink without boiling (due to upgrading work) so bring bottled water if you don't take a kettle with you.
The ongoing works means there's a fair amount of heavy machinery noise during daytime hours - just something to be aware of.
The showers are somewhat tempermental; we stayed in the top field - there were 2 showers in the female toilets, the one on the right see-saw'ed from freezing cold to scolding hot. The one in the centre seems to be stuck on the cold side of acceptable.
