Liked Little play park, surrounding, clean site and well stocked shop. Clean toilets. Friendly helpful staff. Good taxi services into Oban wasn’t too expensive.

Disliked They didn't even care to filter the water. Grass is actually mud. Doesn't have any format for caravans.

Liked Access to hot water for washing up.

Toilets and showers were clean.

Good location for access to the Kerrera Ferry (albeit a bit of a hike).

Disliked The site is up a steep hill so be prepared to add a fair Hike on at the end of a long day adventuring.

The Water is unsuitable to drink without boiling (due to upgrading work) so bring bottled water if you don't take a kettle with you.

The ongoing works means there's a fair amount of heavy machinery noise during daytime hours - just something to be aware of.

The showers are somewhat tempermental; we stayed in the top field - there were 2 showers in the female toilets, the one on the right see-saw'ed from freezing cold to scolding hot. The one in the centre seems to be stuck on the cold side of acceptable.

Liked Alors pour commencer la vue est vraiment belle l’environnement est assez verdoyant c’est vraiment top, il y a des sortes de bungalow qui on l’air très bien entretenu d’ailleurs je pense que le camping mise un me sur ça d’ailleurs. Une aire de jeu pour les enfants ça c’est oki .

Disliked Les sanitaires bouhhhhh!!!. Sachant que c’est quand même entouré d’herbe , je pensée ça devrait être passé au crible vraiment !!! Minimum 3 fois par jour. La douche était carrément bouché avec l’herbe et moi je ne met pas mes mains la dedans .

Disliked The facility’s were filthy, male shower were cold water.
Curfew was 11pm which seems late when kids are screaming and shouting.

Liked Very nice location just a 3 mile walk to Oban along the coast.

Disliked Would be better with pitch number allocations as we got there late and found it difficult to find a clear pitch.

Liked Plenty of space. Nice dog walk.

Disliked No specific measured pitch meaning people came from close to us. No clean running drinkable water I found an issue for the high price we paid to stop there. The shower block was okay.

Local attractions

Getting out to see the surroundings? There are lots of lovely walks to be done nearby, or you can hire bikes in Oban (10 minutes’ drive) for scenic cycle rides. Achnalarig Riding Stables (10 minutes) is another option, for pony and horse riding lessons or treks – or you might like to see what’s out at sea by joining a scuba trip from Puffin Dive Centre (five minutes’ walk). Once you’ve viewed Kerrera from your pitch, head up the road (five minutes’ drive) to board a ferry over to the island – there’s a great seven-mile walking trail that runs from the harbour and will show you some of the island’s best bits. For other islands, it’s a 10-minute drive to Oban harbour, where services run to Lismore, Mull, Iona and Coll as well as more far-flung destinations. Back on the mainland, you may like to stop by at Dunstaffnage Castle (20 minutes), the Green Shoots garden (15 minutes) and Cruachan Dam Visitor Centre (35 minutes) – and don't forget a dram at Oban Distillery (10 minutes)…
