What customers say
This is a peaceful, well-maintained small campsite behind a friendly pub with good food. Visitors praise the cleanliness of facilities, the helpful staff and the lovely village setting. Some note the limited number of showers and toilets, and the motion-sensor lighting in the facilities can be short-lived. Access can be tight for larger vehicles. Recent management changes have been noted, with a promise of facility improvements.

Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Small, quiet site behind the pub. Well looked-after. Toilets and showers clean. There were only 2 plots being used, not sure how 2 toilets and 2 showers would cope if the site was full! The light goes off automatically very quickly so you do end up showering in the dark!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Relaxed and informal camping. The pub was great and food good.
Lovely cafe nearby at the small garden centre. Local bus service offers a limited service to Yeovil.
Disliked Poor signage for finding the drinking water pipe, making it a little confusing at first. The lights in the shower and toilet are motion sensored but do not stay on if you are in the shower and nobody else is in the block to keep the lights on.There is just enough light to see what you need to, but its gloomy and disconcerting. The site has very little shade or natural shelter, which makes an extra challenge for some of us. There are minimal facilities for people who have any mobility or access difficulties, so if this is a need for anyone in your party then check first with them before booking.

Liked Lovely pub with good beer and we had some very nice chips
Disliked No negatives but you do need levelling blocks for the top few pitches

A nice easy site that just works.
Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Nice quiet site with good facilities.
Will definitely use again.
Disliked The site is on a slope so if you are in a van or MH you will need levelling ramps.
Drinking water is quite far from the field.
Access is tight in larger vehicles - we were in a 6.5m x 2.3m motorhome but managed to squeeze into the entrance at the top of the driveway.
