Polubione It’s a pub campsite so great if it’s raining, good facilities, level site and few rules. Lovely village and handy for montacute house

Polubione location, staff, levelled pitches, nice views, safety (solo camper here), clean site and lots of bins provided, the other reviews about messy bins must be old so don't hold on to these

Niepolubione toilet paper could be restocked more often on busy weekends,
quite packed on a bank holiday (understandable) and due to the general small campsite size

Polubione Nice camping area near the pub, nice to sit in the beer garden on a warm day and have food and drinks. Mostly flat and everyone was very welcoming. We did leave early but that was because of the weather more than anything which isn't the owners fault.

Niepolubione The toilet rolls would run out by 7am and not get replaced until toilet cleaning closer to 10am. We did ask about ice pack freezing which was listed as a feature but told by staff they dont do it. Unfortunately because the weather was in the 30s we left early because we couldn't keep food or ourselves cool.

Polubione The staff! they couldn't do more for you. Yes there are only 2 shared showers which is not different from the continent. Lets not forget they're a pub stop campsites and they don't have endless membership income to deliver 1 million £ shower blocks. If you want them sort of sites then go find one. I got an extremely good quality shower. The button needing holding is a bit of a best but not the end of the world. They were cleaned 2 times each day, and on top of running their main pub business. I cannot understand moaners about unique little places like this, other than they seem to moan about sharing or cleanliness. Its what is more aligned to camping experience. There is no 'warden' but staff are very much on hand to pop out and assist if needed and requested.

Location, bit tight getting in at the top of the car park but the local residents and pub seem to have it worked out that vehicles are parked in a way its ok. I would suggest anything bigger than a VW needs a careful eye and slick 2 point turn. Beautiful Somerset at your fingertips! lovely pub and pretty beer garden and set in a cute stone and thatched roof style village. Dog friendly too!

Solo female traveller and felt completely safe.

Now there was a camper pitch set of guests who sadly let the side down, a non nonsense approach was taken by staff, police called and asked to vacate the premises, and a scenario one cannot possibly attribute to staff. What they did do however was respond immediately and appropriately to the situation and we soon had rid of them and we all then had a great stay. Again this made it a lovely stay because they acted fairly and appropriately and in a timely manner.

Niepolubione I did visit on a Bank Holiday weekend and it was during a heatwave which meant things got a bit overcrowded, but only 1 night. OK having read a few negative comments i felt i wanted to give a balanced and reflect on the fact this is a pub stop and they like many are absolutely trying to keep afloat by any means. They are a pub, their camping is a secondary purpose of their business. Despite running a very busy restaurant and pub they still when needed came down to manage a couple issues with the campsite space and pitches. I will confess i was pitched on the wrong pitch and was politely asked to move my van to a hardstanding on. Absolutely fair as my error. Not once did i see their polite request as anything other than ensuring all campers could enjoy their stay. They were utterly lovely about it.

Polubione The country location and the food in the pub.

Niepolubione I get it is a pub location with limited facilities. However, the showers/toilets were filthy with the same large clump of hair in the wall for 3 days. Lighting was on a sensor which only lasted a very minimal amount of time before plunging you into darkness meaning not enough time to shower or use the toilet. Showers were push button which wouldn't work unless constantly held in meaning only one hand to wash with. Anti social behaviour from a few occupants on the site. Although not the fault of the provider there was noone to address it. Drinking water was hidden in a corner behind full emptied bins. We left one night early owing to the poor cleanliness.

Polubione Lovely friendly staff, beautiful village, great walks for the dog with miles and miles of footpaths around the local orchards, quiet campsite.

Niepolubione My original pitch was basically impossible to get into! Very heavily laden pear tree, which could do with a good pruning, a caravan with its butt half over the pitch on one side, and a massive tent set up with guy ropes everywhere encroaching on the other side. Luckily there was another pitch available and I was put in there for my one night.
