What customers say
This campsite, behind a friendly pub, offers peaceful pitches, clean facilities, and good food. Staff are welcoming and it's dog-friendly. Some find the unisex washrooms and motion-sensor lights a bit awkward. Bins can overflow and some facilities need a refresh. Great value for a quiet escape.

Liked Absolutely — here’s a smoother, more natural version that keeps the warm, genuine feel:
Camping Area Review
Lovely little camping area attached to the pub, and excellent value for money. The food and drinks in the pub were very reasonably priced, and the staff were lovely — welcoming, friendly and very approachable.
The toilet and shower facilities were clean and well maintained. It’s also very dog-friendly, which was a real bonus.
The location is peaceful and quiet, with only the occasional faint “baa” from the sheep to remind you you’re in the countryside! A lovely, relaxing place to stay — we’d happily come back.
Disliked The only slight downside was the push-button shower, which turns off after a few seconds, meaning you have to keep pressing it throughout your shower. That said, the water was lovely and warm, so it wasn’t a huge issue!

Fantastic value for money and we'll definitely stay there again 👍
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely site nice level pitches very friendly staff and beautiful pub.
Disliked Unfortunately the shower block lights go out after about a minute and the showers need the buttons holding in to work which my son found impossible. Such a shame when everything else was perfect.

Lovely friendly small site. Good for tents. Village Pub. Will return.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Friendly, small cosy site. Attached to a pub, which we were not disturbed by at all, but could have eaten and drunk at if the weather turned! I had questions beforehand which they answered really quickly.
Disliked Very distance church bells that my super hearing picked up on in the night. The toilet block motion sensor lights go out at inconvenient times. Slight slope

A lovely place to pitch up…
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked A lovely place to pitch up for a few nights. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a great atmosphere throughout our stay. The amenities are basic but clean, well maintained, and adequately stocked. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily return.
Disliked The only slight negative, although it’s not something the site can really control, is that the pitch is often used for overnight stop-offs. As a result, not everyone maintained the expected camping etiquette, and there was some noise late into the night. Otherwise, we had a lovely stay.

Quiet site, clean facilities and close to a pub!
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Proximity to pub with food, good level pitches and not crowded, clean toilet and shower facilities. Good location for exploring Somerset.
Disliked Nothing to dislike about this site - my only concern is that too many people find out about it!
