Electric gravel and sand touring pitch
Liked Easy access, neat to the things we wanted to do and see.
Nice pub food and beer
Disliked Facilities quite bad, low standard.
Pitches near parking very loud, as folks sitting in their car listening to loud music half the night, road traffic very loud, swaped pitches for the second night.
Waste depot is a huge mess

Liked Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were good and having the pub right there for food and drinks was very convenient. Was easy to find and just a short drive away from the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Liked The location was great, very close to durdle door etc.
Easy check in and affordable price
Disliked A few issues only one washing up sink, limited toilets and showers for the amount of campers. Food In the pub for breakfast took over an hour to come with a relatively quiet pub. The coffee that came had clumpy milk that looked gone off, and the drinks took 30 minutes to come. The young lad who worked at the bar was lovely very helpful and apologetic.

Electric grass pitch
Liked The perfect option for our stay, to the nearby areas we planned. Great size, didnt feel like you were on top of each other. Staff were friendly.
Disliked Bathroom blocks basic, 1x shower not working which created a back log of people waiting. Needs some TLC. Pitch was quite stoney struggled in certain areas especially as it was so dry already.

Great little cosy campsite with the convenience of a pub
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Small friendly site right next to the Red Lion pub which served excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Showers were nice and hot and cleaned daily. The site is convenient for walking, cycling or driving to explore Dorset, only a short distance to Lulworth and Durdle Door, and Bovington Tank Museum. We took a lovely stroll via the next door cricket pitch through the beautiful village of Winfrith and up over the ridge to 5 Marys view point to see the spectacular rolling Dorset countryside. We also visited Moreton Ford and the resting place of TE Lawrence of Arabia.
Disliked The site is next to a main road however this was not a problem for me. The site is set back enough that the road noise was not overwhelming and the traffic quietened after 8pm each evening. We were in a tent and I do wear ear plugs so it was no problem, and if you were in a caravan or camper van it'd be no problem either.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time and trouble to leave a review; some very nice photographs. We are delighted you enjoyed the pub. The pub is an old coaching inn and as you highlight this makes it ideal to explore the local area but does mean that it is adjacent to the local roads. Ideal for that quick getaway to the favourite visitor spots before the roads become too busy. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Ok for a one night stop off.
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Great location for Durdledoor and Lulworth. Nice pub with good food. Good sized pitch.
Disliked Small, dark and dirty shower rooms. No mirrors. Bins were overflowing onto the floor and very smelly.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time and trouble to leave a review. There are 4 showers available on a 24-hour basis in two separate blocks (as indicated on the Campsite Arrival Pack) and they are cleaned and reviewed on a regular basis. They are lit by a combination of electric and solar lighting with 'day time sensors'. Unfortunately during the peak hours the showers can become busy and we do ask that campers let us know of any issues so that we can address them in a timely manner. I have passed onto the relevant team member your observation regarding mirrors (I assume in the showers). I am not sure why on the occasion that you used the shower blocks they were 'smelly' and I asked the staff to look into this, but nothing outwardly untoward could be found. I do hope this provides some clarity to your feedback.
