A aimé Good facilities, good breakfast but unfortunately my car got damaged in the ditch that is randomly in the field with no lights

N'a pas aimé Put up lights or a sign to warm drivers anout the random ditch in the field. It damaged my car and really affected my whole weekend making my fundraising challenge more difficult and making my drive home dangerous! Just hope it doesn't cost too much to fix!

Your chosen pitch included an electric hook-up, and the price reflects the cost of supplying electricity, including VAT charged at the commercial rate of 20%. We hope you will support the campaign for a reduction in the rate of VAT applied to the hospitality industry.
You described the pitch as “not great”, but did not provide any further details or raise any concerns during your stay, so unfortunately we were not given an opportunity to address them at the time. Our facilities are aligned to the AA three-star standard and comprise three toilets and four showers, all of which are available 24 hours a day. In addition campers are invited to use the pub toilets when the pub is open.
As a traditional coaching inn, we are situated beside local roads. Although traffic noise can be noticeable, this location also offers convenient access to nearby attractions. We hope this provides helpful context and clarification in response to your feedback.

A aimé The ground was fairly flat. The toilets and showers were clean, the water was reasonably hot.

N'a pas aimé We were one of only two pitches used on one night and we were the only ones the second. I would not stay here in busy times because there are only 2 toilets and 2 showers for the main field. There are a couple more further away but still not enough for the number of pitches available. Only one washing up sink. The chemical toilet disposal was OK but would benefit by having a separate hose to rinse things.
We did not eat in the pub but both the Badger and Tanglefoot beers were disappointing, made worse by being served very cold. I have had much better elsewhere.
There is a surprising amount of noise from the road especially during the night.

This provides 3 toilets and 4 showers available on a 24 hour basis. This is aligned to the AA3* campsite standard. Campers are also invited to use the pub toilets when the pub is open. I am sorry you did not consider our ales to your taste. Our ale is regularly checked and is delivered at the correct temperature. As a traditional coaching inn our location is of course close to the road. Whilst this can be busy at times this does have the benefit of enabling easier access to the local attractions. A aimé The peace and quiet. Very friendly staff.

N'a pas aimé Pitch up show check in as 2pm. Red lion have it down as 3pm. So have to pay £10 extra if you want to check in earlier than 3. We arrived just after 1pm.
We paid to check in early as had been travelling for a few hours and then spent more money drinking in the bar. No win situation.

The check-in time over the autumn/winter period is indeed 3.00pm and this is updated and advertised on Pitch-up. In either case arrival at 1.00pm would attract the early arrival charge if you chose to pitch and hook up early to the electricity. Of course there is always the option of having a hot or cold drink at the bar whilst waiting for the check-in time. Es tut mir leid, Ihre Kommentare zu den Toilettenblöcken zu lesen. Da keine weiteren Details angegeben wurden, ist es für uns schwierig, das spezifische Anliegen zu verstehen. Wir haben drei Toiletten und vier Duschen, die rund um die Uhr verfügbar sind und den AA 3-Sterne-Standard erfüllen. Diese Einrichtungen werden täglich gereinigt und von unserem Personal regelmäßig überprüft und erneuert. Camper sind auch willkommen, die Toiletten des Pubs zu nutzen, wenn der Pub geöffnet ist. Als traditionelles Gasthaus befinden wir uns in der Nähe der örtlichen Landschaft und der Farmstraßen. Das macht uns zwar gut erreichbar für lokale Sehenswürdigkeiten, aber es kann bedeuten, dass die Straßen manchmal stark befahren sind. Ich hoffe, das bringt etwas Klarheit, und wir wünschen Ihnen eine sichere Weiterreise.

I often stay on the campsite myself and was there the mid-week night you are referring to and I have to say that I thought the traffic was unusually busy. As a traditional coaching inn we are close the the local roads with the benefit that this does give good access to the local attractions. We hope to welcome you back at some point in the future.

A aimé The hard standing pitch was good nice and flat with plenty of room. Pub was also good friendly staff good food and liked the 10% off all your orders.
When we arrived there were afew people there but it was nice and quiet so managed to have a good sleep.

N'a pas aimé Only two toilets to cater for the whole campsite. Apparently there was another toilet block by the pub but didn't see that. Would assume its busy during peak season.
