Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Decent sized pitches, non-electric pitches were tucked away near a stream. Overall the site was fairly quiet and everyone felt well spread out, plenty of facilities. Had trees for some shade.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Lovely flat grass site
Very helpful and welcoming staff

Disliked: Shower arrangement , would be better with individual cubicles not a shared dressing area. It is also possible for one person to lock the door and make all three showers unavailable.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: The site is well maintained and the pitch was large and pretty with oak trees and a stream behind us. The toilet and shower block were clean and had plenty of cubicles so no waiting in lines for a shower. Pretty flowers planted all around the site. The owner was cheerful and accommodating when we arrived later than planned.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: It was a lovely location for a site and we were greeted in a friendly manner and shown to our pitch

Disliked: It seems the owner was away and the chap looking after the site did not clean the facilities during our two day stay - this was a weekend and they were pretty awful with flies around the entrance to the Ladies by the time we left. Real shame as could have been fab.

Local attractions

If you’re into all things vehicular, start your local exploration at The Tank Museum, 10 minutes’ drive away – the collection of more than 300 tanks (including Little Willie, the world’s first) is renowned as the world’s finest. Follow up with a steam-powered ride on the Swanage Railway (25 minutes away). As you ride the rails, you’ll pass the ruins of Corfe Castle, built in the 11th century by William the Conqueror – it’s about 15 minutes from the site if you’d like to take a closer look. A mile or so up the road from the castle is the cute Wareham Bears, where more than 200 teddies live in a model village. For real-life animal antics, take the 10-minute drive to Monkey World to see the apes that found TV fame in the UK as stars of the Monkey Life. And one can't ignore the Jurassic Coast – it’ll take you 20 minutes or so to drive to some of its most stunning sights, including Lulworth Cove, Man O’War beach and the giant stone arch Durdle Door. A walk on the South West Coast Path is an excellent way to take it all in, or you could try paddleboarding, sea kayaking or coasteering to get a different view.
