Peaceful, well-kept site with generous pitches, spotless amenities & helpful staff, near attractions. Fire pits & pizza van available. Some reviews note inconsistent shower temps & privacy issues, plus occasional general cleanliness concerns in ablution blocks, though not widespread.

Liked The location is great with lots of lovely places nearby.
Disliked The toilets and washing areas were disgusting!!!! They were badly “wiped round” once a day which considering the site was full, was nowhere near enough!!!
The showers have communal changing areas (there was a man in the ladies showers with his young daughter one day?!!)

Liked Toilets and showers were clean, and Grant gave us a friendly welcome and was on hand to help when needed.
Disliked People use the hand dryers late at night. There wasn't much privacy in the showers.

Electric grass pitch
Liked Lovely campsite with big pitches. Fab washing up facilities and toilets. Fairly flat pitches, lots of water points around site.
Disliked Sinks are very high so the children could not easily wash their hands after using the toilets.

Fantastic summer stay at Luckford Wood Campsite!
Electric grass pitch
Liked Very friendly owner, beautiful location and quiet, friendly campers, very large plots compared to most sites
Disliked A little limited phone signal but still managed to get 1 bar of 4G (Three) so just about had internet! Not a problem of the site however given its rural location! It actually meant I could switch off from the outside world a little more than normal!

1st impression scruffy old caravans nr entrance possibly stored there
Electric grass pitch
Liked Owner tries to keep a section of field quieter for couples.
Disliked Showers/ toilet block need a spruce up. They are adequate but a bit smelly at times. Didn't like the shower set up. Only 3 showers with a curtain on each but communal changing and drying. Ok if you have kids but not for me as a single person. You can lock yourself in but then there are 2 unused showers. Owner allowed fire pits which he hired out - unnecessary in this scorching weather especially as everything is tinder dry. Dorset Council aren't allowing BBQ or fires anywhere atm.

Great quiet site.

Liked Grant was a lovely chap, very welcoming. The site was nice, quiet and a great place to rest after a day's work. I told Grant why I was staying and he put me over the quiet side of site. Perfect.
Disliked The shower water temp fluctuated, it's lovely when it's hot and definitely wakes you up when it drops.
