  • Family park close to Poole, Studland and Sandbanks
  • Indoor and outdoor pools, amusement arcade, play areas and kids' clubs
  • Bowling, crazy golf, ice cream parlour, restaurant and clubhouse
Sandford Holiday Park is an apt name for this park, which has acres of Britain’s best beaches within easy reach… From its peaceful Holton Heath woodland setting, it's just a short journey to the wide sands of Studland and Sandbanks, as well as lively resorts such as Bournemouth and Poole – all of which are within a half-hour drive. Boredom's not an option here, where the activities include a summer outdoor and indoor pool complex, a dedicated musical play pool for toddlers, courts for tennis and many other sports, bikes and pedal go-karts for hire, and nature trails crisscrossing the site. Still standing after all that energetic stuff? Then go swing’n’rolling at the bowling, or take the kids around the jungle-themed crazy golf and reward the winner with an extra scoop at the site’s ice cream parlour. The park also has three different kids’ clubs, banded by age to make sure top fun is had by all (even the harder-to-please teens should be mildly interested by the film-making and DJ workshops… plus the free wifi on site). Young’uns should also enjoy the indoor soft play zone and two outdoor play areas, with a pirate ship and a climbing wall as well as the usual playground paraphernalia. Recharge your batteries at the fish and chip shop or the Arena restaurant, which serves Costa coffee as well as pizzas and lots of other family-friendly meals. Then top it all off with a trip to the Limelite Club for family entertainment, cabaret and competitions from the sparkly Troupers: you should sleep well after that lot…

What customers say

A great site with friendly, helpful staff and plenty of activities for families. Pitches are generally spacious and well-maintained. Facilities, particularly showers and toilets, receive mixed reviews; while many found them clean and modern, others noted issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and water pressure. Some visitors found the site busy and noisy, and a few felt it was overpriced, with extra charges for activities. Despite some drawbacks, many would recommend and return.

Meadows electric grass touring pitch

Liked Nothing!

Disliked Grass pitches are grassless with hardcore which means pegs are unable to enter the ground, even extra toughed pegs.
Woof park is derelict and broken which means your dog isn't able to use it (see photos)
If you're allocated pitch 1, do not take it otherwise you'll be back to complain and be moved. Don't try phoning them because they don't answer, staff are just having a laugh and ignoring customers.

Holton 2 bedroom safari tent

Liked Liked the layout of the large campsite, easy to find and access our glampsite pitch.
Highly recommend the glamping option we had. Very good value for money.
Excellent service from the staff.
Good facilities.
Location close to shops and beaches.

Disliked Didn't like the scampi on the menu for the price of it. It was no better than what you would get from the frozen section in Aldi up the road.
The T.V didn't connect with the WiFi. So we had to hot-spot netflix etc. using our phone.

Meadows electric grass touring pitch

Liked Friendly site with lots of useful facilities like shop bar cafe chip shop etc
bus stop right outside

Disliked Showers and toilets in the block closest to the touring park entrance were poorly maintained although acceptably clean examples of this are sometimes there was no hot water the shower heads were blocked up and hadnt been serviced in ages which can cause legionela to breed which can be dangerous not to mention a poor shower , some of the toilet cysterns were overflowing wasting water , the chemical disposal was blocked and poo was all over the floor , the urinal is rusty yet I discovered one of the other toilet blocks as I was leaving and it was in much better condition I tried to phone reception and they hung up on me

Meadows electric grass touring pitch

Liked All the activities that are on site, having a shop, the entertainment, food options and heated outdoor pool

Disliked More of a safety concern was really young children riding bikes and scooters when it’s getting dark / past 10pm with no adult supervision and no regards to cars using the roads. Serious safety issue!

Meadows electric grass touring pitch

Liked How friendly all your staff were and helpful. It was extremely hot this weekend
, 29, and all staff were fantastic.

Disliked The pool timetable. Outside pool - only allowed an hours slot time, open from 10am - 1pm back open again 2pm - 5pm.

A very very over crowded campsite, our toilet and shower block ran out of hot water. There were so many toilets with no flushers working and no signs stating this.
Extremely overpriced food!!!

How fast others drove around your campsite was scary!

I couldn’t speak to your touring reception via your telephone line. The only time I did is when I received a call, promised a call back and nothing!

Paddock electric grass touring pitch

Liked Staff very friendly and helpful. All ways willing to help with a smile. Closeness of shower and toilet blocks. Amusement arcade, and other facilities. Size of pitches. Pitches were fairly level too.

Disliked Toilet and shower blocks, especially the newer ones were disgusting, always dirty, empty toilet paper. The hot water didn’t work, even after the maintenance staff had tried to fix it. The toilets didn’t flush properly, and the women’s didn’t flush at all at one point.
The electric points for caravans and motorhomes need to be labelled. When we arrived someone had used ours, and had to move there’s to the correct connection. I also met another fellow camper that had the same issue.

Meadows electric grass touring pitch

Liked Everything about this site. Beautiful setting, Great employees, amazing facilities, loved how our pitch was enclosed with a hedge to make it private from our neighbours. Will definitely return.

Disliked The dirty lazy holiday makers who do not seem to have the ability to wipe their pee and period blood from the toilet seat, or flush the loo after they've had a poo, or even worse, leave poo on the toilet seat. There's clearly something wrong with these people! I can't begin to imagine what goes though their minds when they leave it in this state. Shame on you!
I feel very sorry for the staff who work so hard and do such a wonderful job at keeping the site clean and tidy!

Local attractions

It’s a short hop in the car to begin discovering the area’s spectacular surrounds, from the wilds of the New Forest to the ancient cliffs, limestone arches and nature reserves of the Jurassic Coast (tick off another World Heritage Site on your 'must-see' list). Dorset is jammed with attractions to suit all interests. History buffs might fancy clambering around Northe Fort or scaling the ramparts at Corfe and Portland castles. The Adventure Wonderland family theme park has thrills for kids of all ages, plus a massive hedge maze to get lost in, and action men (and women) can go paintballing or drive a tank at the Bovington Tank Museum. There’s loads of fun for fauna fans, too: check out the chimps at Monkey World, swan about at Abbotsbury Swannery, visit Weymouth Sea Life Park, explore the largest saltwater lagoon in the country on the glass-bottomed Fleet Observer, or meet some farmyard friends at Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park. Drive a bit further and you can also make a day trip to Longleat Safari Park.
