What customers say
This adults-only campsite is praised for its exceptional cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere. Visitors highlight the friendly and helpful staff, well-maintained pitches, and modern facilities, including spotless showers and toilets. Its convenient location for exploring Dartmoor and the surrounding area is frequently mentioned. The dog-friendly approach, complete with a secure dog walking area, is also a popular feature. While some note occasional road noise due to its proximity to the A30, this is generally not considered a major issue. Many guests express a desire to return, citing it as a top choice.

A well maintained, quiet and quality site to stay..
Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked The site is a very easy to locate and very close to the A30. Access is through a ANPR barrier and worked faultlessly and fast! The welcome by the reception lady was lovely and friendly and check in was easy.
Site is compact and small enough to be friendly, large enough to spread out. A mix of Campers, Motorhomes and Touring caravans worked well.
The wash block was one of the cleanest I have ever seen and was a credit to the staff on it's maintenance. The Pot Wash area and the Elsan point were equally spotless.
WiFi worked really well across the site but TV reception was haphazard, not helped by Storm Dave!
Plenty of taps scattered across the site so not far to lug the water roll.
A good location for central access to Devon, Dartmoor and Cornwall.
A big shout to that the sky is HUGE and little light pollution so star gazers would really benefit too...
Drogo castle and Fingle Bridge walk well worth it though be prepared for some climbing but a fabulous path and circuit about 5 miles.
Disliked A pub within a closer walking distance would of been nice but just being picky. Would go back with no hesitation..

Liked Friendly staff. Very well organised site. Free pool a bonus. Very good.
Disliked Not site's fault but A30 got diverted past the site the nights we stayed so noisy. Sure it would be fine normally.

From the manager: Many thanks for your great review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. Sadly Highways England needed to resurface the A30 and chose to do this at night time meaning we were the diversion for a few days. Thankfully the road which gives guests such great access is normally very quiet. Best wishes from Leigh and David.

From the manager: Many thanks for your great review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. With regards to the showers, there are signs in each one to inform you that it may take a while. Also due to the fact that there wasn't many people on site during your stay this means they aren't being used as frequently, which means it will take longer. We look forward to seeing you again. Best wishes from Leigh and David
Lovely site, friendly owners, hard standings generously sized.
Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Super friendly and welcoming owners. Site is really tidy and well cared for with excellent facilities. Very dog friendly with enclosed dog park for offlead fun. The site is by a road but it wasn’t an issue as generally not very busy and really quiet overnight when it matters. The little shop in reception has camping kit, things for your dogs and other bits and bobs you might need. The farm shop (nothing to do with site) down the lane sells the best bacon and sausages but it is very rustic. So don't expect it to be like those high end fancy farm shops that you need a bank loan to shop at! Felt very safe as a lone female staying on site. Nice to have separate facilities rather than unisex. Good accessible facilities for those who might need it too. Will definitely stay again when I get a chance.
Disliked Having to leave!
