Set in the stunning countryside seven miles from Newquay airport, Trethiggey Holiday Park is very nicely placed for whizzing between many of Cornwall's popular attractions. To start with, it's just a 10-minute drive from Newquay, and secondly, the famed rainforest biomes of the Eden Project are just half an hour's drive away. Suited to families or couples, the site is a carefully considered wildlife haven where guests are welcome to go on a species-spotting wander. There are over 4,000 shrubs and trees in its countryside setting: badgers frequently visit, foxes live in the nearby fields and you should also see kingfishers, jays, buzzards and rabbits. Nature signs are dotted around the park detailing all the critters that live and visit there. For kids, the site has an adventure playground and – with varied opening times depending upon the season – a games room with pool tables. Trethiggey Holiday Park welcomes well-behaved dogs, so you don't need to leave any furry family members back at home. Thinking of your holiday pints already? There are three splendid local pubs within walking distance of the site for delicious meals and drinks – and in fact, you don't need to walk any more than 10 to 15 minutes to reach all three.

  • There are currently no games room facilities available onsite due to ongoing works.

Hired accommodation

  • Guests must bring their own duvets, pillows, sheets and towels when staying in rental accommodation. You will not be allowed to stay if you do not bring these items.

Occupancy

  • Group bookings of 2 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
  • No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • Single-sex bookings of 2 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.

Reception

  • Reception is unmanned after 4:30 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Safety

  • Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
  • Swimming in the lake is not allowed.

Vehicles

  • Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

Liked Good size pitches, really helpful staff, clean and tidy facilities. Bus stop into Newquay outside the entrance to the site, which we used a few times (Driving and parking in Newquay in the summer months, particularly in a campervan is a nightmare).

Liked We had a fantastic stay at this holiday park and were very satisfied with our experience. The park was clean, well-maintained, and had a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The facilities were excellent, and there was plenty to do for both adults and children. The staff were helpful and always happy to assist.
The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the surrounding area while also enjoying a relaxing break. We would definitely recommend this holiday park to others and look forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Liked We liked everything about site. We were impressed by the care taken to ensure cleanliness of the communal areas. The pitches were well maintained. The bus stops right outside the site were a bonus, so easy to get into Newquay or Truro. The lady at reception was friendly and informative. We would have no hesitation in booking this site again.

Disliked This is not a dislike or a moan but the site is a little ragged round the edges. The staff work hard to maintain the site and we assume issues will be addressed over time ie: bubbling paintwork in bathrooms. Uneven road surface to the pitches.

Liked That is so close Newquay (10- 15 minutes drive from the best beaches). The price, the pitch, the facilities.

Disliked Pitches could be better marked up, as when we came back one day from the beach, the new neighbors put up the tent up where we set up our entrance to the tent and we had a table and chairs, ( and they moved our tabel out of their way closer to our tent to make more room for themselfs) It was about 2 to 3 meters into our pitch, So getting in and out wasn't as pleasant as before, but as it was our last night, we didn't complaint too much. Marking up the borders would make things a lot easier.
