What customers say
Site gets the nod for top staff, spotless facilities, and a grand spot for Newquay and beaches. Pitches are well-kept, areas tidy. Most had a dandy time, though a few found the facilities a bit tired and the road a bit noisy. Improvements are underway.

Liked Really good place to camp really close to Newquay for surfing and pitches were perfect my friends and I loved the stay and look forward to staying again,
The facilities were very clean and well looked after and the staff were amazing especially the little cat
Disliked Absolutely nothing

Would not stay here again!! Far better available for less money
Electric grass pitch
Liked Good pitch size
Disliked Very rundown buildings, although clean ; well kept green areas apart from around the so called lakes which have been left to go completely wild and unfishable, needs some of the profit re investing; don’t bother with buying the WiFi it’s absolutely rubbish and a rip off ‼️

From the manager: Hi Steve, if you had mentioned during your stay, that you had issues with the WIFI we would have suggested you contact Club WIFI who provide the service & they would have been happy to give you a refund. The lakes area is maintained & are 'fishable' by customers staying onsite. Again if you had spoken to staff onsite while you were here we would have been happy to advise - Thank you
A disappointing site not achieving it's rating.
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked An efficient and friendly check in.
Fairly easy access into the town centre.
Disliked We paid extra for a serviced gravel pitch which turned out to be a waste of money. The pitch was on a steep slope to such an extent that we couldn't sit comfortably in our awning as we were being tipped out of our chairs.
The showers were very dangerous due to very slippery floors. The management were aware of this as they posted signs stating "floor slippery when wet". As this related to showers the sign should have read floor slippery all the time.
The so called fishing lakes were in fact a couple of weed choked overgrown ponds which were unfishable.
The whole site had a run down and neglected feel about it

From the manager: Hi Keith,
It's such a shame you didn't pop into reception during your stay to raise any of these concerns, as we would have been more than happy to clear up a few misunderstandings for you. But never mind, social media ANON posts seems to be the preferred reception desk these days!
Firstly, let's clear up the confusion regarding your pitch. We do not advertise or charge for a serviced pitch. You booked and paid for a hardstanding pitch, which is exactly what you received. Some of our hardstanding pitches have water and electric, while others have electric only. So, just to clarify, you were never charged for something we don't actually advertise.
As for the pitches not being perfectly level, we are situated on a slightly sloping piece of Cornish countryside. We do our very best to make the pitches as level as possible, although unfortunately we haven't quite mastered the art of flattening the entire landscape just yet! If you genuinely found yourself falling out of your chairs, we might politely suggest checking the stability of the chairs before holding the holiday park responsible!
Moving on to the showers. Yes, shower floors do sometimes get wet. Rather surprisingly, this tends to happen when people use showers! They are cleaned regularly and, like most wet surfaces, they dry afterwards. The 'Slippery When Wet' signs are there for health and safety reasons, as water does have a rather inconvenient habit of making floors slippery. We would always encourage guests to take appropriate care.
Regarding the fishing lake, we actually have three lakes on the park. The bottom lake is our designated fishing lake, which is weeded regularly and available for guests wishing to fish. Perhaps a quick chat with reception would have helped point you in the right direction.
Finally, Trethiggey Holiday Park is a small, family-run business, with a hardworking team who genuinely care about the park and our guests. We work incredibly hard to maintain the grounds and facilities and to make everyone's stay as enjoyable as possible.
We fully appreciate that not everything will be to everyone's liking, and we are always happy to listen to genuine concerns and address them wherever possible.
It's just a shame that you chose to share your concerns on social media rather than speak to our manager during your stay.
Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent holiday park!!!!!!
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Excellent holiday park. Very spacious pitches. Gravel part long enough for caravan and the car. The other half of the pitch is plot of grass big enough to accommodate owning and there is still a lot of grass left for family to enjoy. Hard standing and grass serviced pitch includes electricity plus a personal fresh water tap and grey water drainage. Great division of the pitches areas which are secluded and give privacy. Close distance to facilities which are very clean and have everything what is needed. Great games/play rooms with plenty of books and movies to enjoy. Family friendly. No restrictions regarding kids playing, etc. On-site kids playground.Very friendly staff. We stayed for 7 nights on touring caravan pitch. We will be definitely coming back every year now. Thank you for a lovely holiday experience. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
