Road leading to the cottages and the pub

  • Family park with easy access to main Cornish attractions
  • A 10-minute drive to the world-famed surf of Newquay
  • Next to a popular pub with a beer garden
Surf! And a bar, and a beer garden – and easy access to Cornwall's famed attractions like the Eden Project 14 miles away: you might want to stay at Carvynick Holiday Park for quite some time. A 10-minute drive from the world-famed surf and the surf schools of Newquay, Carvynick is set in Cornish countryside among spectacular scenery, and centrally located for easy-drive day trips to the likes of St Austell, the Eden Project, Newquay Zoo, Bodmin Moor and the Clay Trails. In between days out exploring the local land, have an afternoon or evening in a pub run by chef Adam Handling (as this establishment is separate from the holiday park, you'll need to check directly with them for opening times and availability; it's a popular spot so booking ahead is strongly advised). Carvynick is pet friendly.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Peaceful with lovely views. Fantastic pub on site.

Disliked Couldn't find any recycling bins. Some of the gravel driveway was muddy. Looked as though work was being done which made it look a bit messy. No dog walking area. No wifi.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: i am sorry we dont have any recycling bins on site, yes there has been some work carried out by the cottages , but the mud down by the pitches, is caused a lot through the bad weather we have had!! no we dont supply wifi, and there is a dog walking field which is stated in your welcome pack , i am glad you injoyed your meal at the pub.

Make sure to book the Tartan Fox. Incredible food.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Limited but great view pitches
Clean toilets

Disliked *not dislikes just observations..
Only a few level options
Pub closing, obvious car noise
No parking next to pitch

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: there is quiet a few places you could of camped, and it is a really safe here all you had to do is ask for other camping pitches, if reception was closed and you arrived late, there is always some one on the end of the phone, reason you cant park next to pitch is that the weather we have been having you would have got stuck on the grass,, the pub is nothink to do with carvynick, you have to get hold of them to see there opening times, and to book, which is explained on the site, you booked through i am glad you ended up having a nice view and were able to see the sunset.

Exceptional welcome and wonderful location.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Alison - What a warm welcome. This lady went above and beyond to make our weekend stay enjoyable. Felt like I know her years. Helped up beyond what she needed to. I’m booking again in July if they have availability.

The pitch - wow what a view and what a sunset. I adore Cornwall. The entire site was impeccable. Facilities were clean and the shower room very roomy.

Me and my partner had an incredible getaway and can’t wait to be back in July.

Disliked Leaving to go back to reality.

Local attractions

The surf, sands, harbour, shops, restaurants and nightclubs of Newquay are a 10-minute drive from Carvynick Holiday Park, along with many surfing professionals in the town's surf schools to give lessons if you want to give it a go. A more relaxed vibe can be had in Cornwall's other fishing towns and villages like Padstow, Mevagissey, Fowey and St Ives, all with smart shops, arts and craft outlets, restaurants and cobbled streets. From any town, the spectacularly scenic walks of the South West Coast Path are easily reached, while if you want a more challenging hike the moorlands of Bodmin are an easy drive away. If you're cycling, pedal the Camel Trail from Bodmin to Padstow or along St Austell's clay trails a few miles from the site; bike hire for all sizes is available at both. The famed Eden Project is 14 miles away, and it's also easy to get to a wide range of family attractions like the Blue Reef Aquarium and the pools of Leisure World.
