What customers say
This is a peaceful, clean, and well-maintained campsite with friendly, helpful owners and generous pitches offering lovely views. Facilities are consistently praised as spotless and well-equipped, including hot showers. Guests appreciate the quiet atmosphere and family-friendly nature. While some find the walk to the nearest village a distance, the site's rural charm and proximity to attractions are highlights. Food vans are a popular addition. Some mention shared toilet/shower facilities, and one review noted issues with toilet flushing power, though this was attributed to water-saving devices and was not a widespread complaint.

Liked Individual hedged pitches. Nice facilities. Hook up and water supply was good.
Disliked We were charged £5 each per visitor that came for a few hours. We met at the site for a 30 year reunion, before going to the local pub. No facilities were used by them. Disappointing and we weren’t informed prior to our arrival despite me writing it on the booking

From the manager: Hi David - thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed about the visitor fee, but this is standard practice on most campsites for health and safety reasons, and because our facilities are for the use of paying guests only. You may missed seeing this in advance, but it is clearly explained in the T&Cs, to which your booking was subject. I am copying the relevant section from your booking confirmation here:
Visitors
Visitors must leave the premises by 9 p.m.
Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
You had booked for one night, and invited several friends to join you for the afternoon. You may not recognise this as such, but all used our facilities as they drove onto our site, parked on our grass, and used our water, electricity, seating etc.
This aside, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. Kind regards, Ali & Neil
Apart from that, very good
Electric grass pitch
Liked Lots of space, able to have a fire pit, washing facilities, toilets excellent
Disliked Clearly the grass had grown long and they cut it all just before we arrived, it was very difficult dealing with the grass that just got everywhere particularly when wet. Perhaps they should have cut smaller areas on a rotation basis

From the manager: Hello Colin - many thanks for your review. I'm sorry the grass cuttings were a nuisance, but September has been very warm and wet - perfect for growing grass. We're currently mowing 2-3 times per week between showers, and the clue is in your own comments, as sadly, it's simply too wet to collect the clippings. If you'd made us aware this was causing such difficulty during your stay, then we would have gladly lent you some additional door mats and/or moved you to a gravel pitch. Kind regards, Ali & Neil
Had lovely few days, would definitely come back
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch (large)
Liked Lovely small quiet (went in Sept) site. Friendly.
Good size pitches.
Toilets and showers were lovely and clean.
WiFi reliable
Nice large fields for dog walking with friendly pigs (in enclosure, not wandering around site!)
Lovely area.
Disliked Realistically need a car, as narrow roads and no footpaths out from site.

Liked Lovely site with wonderful views from the dog walking area down to the pond. After an unfortunate wasp sting on my dog’s face the lovely owners moved me into a wonderful luxury yurt which was really peaceful with amazing views
Disliked Wasps!

Electric grass and gravel touring pitch (large)
Liked Peaceful, well set out spacious site. Owners very friendly and welcoming, was good to have the pizza van on Friday night to save some cooking and washing up. Washing up facilities plentiful (4 sinks) and undercover next the laundry room which has a washing machine and tumble dryer. Access to the site was quick and easy from the main road and the small shop on site useful if you needed to pick up some bits and pieces. Meadow for dog walking was massive and a great space to explore. We stayed on a hardstanding pitch which had plenty of space to pitch an awning and still have room to sit outside on the grass. Recycling bags were provided so you could store up your dry recycling before taking to the bins which was very helpful.
Disliked Just a personal thing (not a reflection on the site) which took a bit of getting used to for us (probably more of an age thing) was the inclusive toilets and showers, but can see this is a great help for young families on holiday.

From the manager: Hello Sharon - thanks so much for your kind review, and we're glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at our little site. Yes, we are aware that our facilities are a little unusual in some respects, but as you noted, it makes it so much easier for families. And just to reassure you and anyone else reading this review, our facilities are very safe - all cubicles are fully enclosed, doors are flush with the floor and fitted with secure locks, and cctv monitors the entrance and public areas. Hope to see you again at some point. With kindest regards, Ali & Neil

Electric grass pitch
Liked Kids liked the park.
Friendly hosts and the facilities were good and kept clean.
Grass and other parts of the site were well maintained, it was clear the hosts cared for what they were providing.
The hosts were willing to apply discipline when children were becoming invasive, running through pitches, riding bikes in the dark etc.
Disliked EHU pitches can be a bit unusual shape/setup.

Great quiet campsite good location for exploring.

Liked Absolutely loved the campsite
We had pitch 3 which meant we cpuld make the area really secluded for our reactive dog.
The campsite is clean and tidy.
Staff are really friendly and helpful lent us a extension to the electric hook up as our cable was to short.
Communal bathrooms and washing ip area kept clean and tidy.
I loved the calm and quietness accross the whole site.
Food van on the last day was a bonus as meant we could eat before a evening drive home.
We are already looking at when we can come next year and will be booking direct.
Thank you for an amazing few days away
