What customers say
This campsite offers a fantastic riverside location with plenty of space, allowing for open fires. Visitors praise the friendly and helpful owners, clean facilities, and convenient access to the river for watersports. While basic, the site is well-maintained and secure, with a children's play area. Some guests noted the absence of showers, but for short stays, this was not a significant issue. The peaceful atmosphere and proximity to a local pub are also highlighted.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Owners were very friendly and helpful, facilities were very clean and were constantly topped up with the essentials. There is plenty of things to do near the camp site including a lovely pub. Will definitely be booking again.
Disliked The only thing I can criticise is there is no showers but that was not an issue for us because we was only there for the weekend.

Excellent place to chill out, good for walkers or non car users.
Non-electric grass and earth pitch (riverside)
Liked We loved the friendly atmosphere and we were greeted by the wonderful Claire. Camping by the river was idyllic. We are normally wild campers so the lack of showers wasn't a problem. The logs came with kindling and firelighters and at £8 a bag were far cheaper than other sites we have been to. For us coming in on foot, the closeness of the train station was a big help, and the walk into Yalding with its Post Office Bakery and convenient shops was great. Sharing the field with the 2 fattest sheep we have ever seen was also a bonus! We have already booked our next stay there.

Friendly and relaxed, shady trees, fantastic riverside location!
Non-electric grass and earth pitch (riverside)
Liked Gorgeous riverside setting, laid back and peaceful. Back to basics camping but secure with toilets, drinking water, fire pits and manned by friendly owners.
Disliked A small improvement would be access to river could be improved, the small access area got very busy and was a bit tricky to get in and out of SUPs and canoes. A ladder or rope ladder would help swimmers access and exit safely too.

Non-electric grass and earth pitch (riverside)
Liked Wow, what a fab site. Clare was so friendly and helpful. We had a riverside pitch, it was so peaceful. The campsite was chilled and we had a brilliant break. We took advantage of the glorious weather and clean river and spent most of our time either on or in it! Lots of kayaks, paddleboarders and swimmers. We will definitely be back. Thank you.
Disliked It wasn’t a dislike - more of a comment - a platform or a better means of getting in and out of the river would be great. But this wouldn’t stop us coming back! We loved it.

Liked We had a fantastic weekend! My dad stayed 2 nights in his campervan, I stayed 1 night in a tent with 2 kids and my sister stayed 1 night in a tent with her husband and 2 kids.
The river access is absolutely brilliant! It is sheltered and perfect for paddle boarding. We had so much fun jumping, swimming and boating!
There were plenty of toilets and it was a busy but relaxing and nice atmosphere. We made friends and shared our boats. We borrowed a little fire pit.
The site is secure and safe. There's a little play area for kids in the trees and a washing up station. There's also 2 sheep! It's nothing too flashy but its absolutely brilliant!
