Liked Owner very kind, trusting and accommodating. The woods are full of wildlife, birds , frogs and swings dotted around
Disliked When we were there there was a field next to the campsite with crops being sprayed. Shop could be better stocked

Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch (wild, woodland)
Liked Lovely location with quite a few pitching options. Good facilities (loos, showers) with a bar and shop on site. Quirky site with lots of personality and the owners were very friendly too. Option to buy logs. Would definitely come back!
Disliked Not so much disliked as an idea for improvement - having the option to buy a all-in-one pack of logs, kindling and fire starters. We were only staying one night and didn't need all that much. Better fire pits would be good - ours was more of a fire grill, the logs were too big for it. A bit shaky and hard to get a good fire going.

Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch (wild)
Liked Spacious pitches, friendly owners, relaxed atmosphere, extremely good pricing and an all-round lovely vibe.
The woodland is beautiful and allowed my young kids to explore without ever going too far, and the off-season booking was cheap and allowed us basically the whole place to ourselves.
We used the shower facilities in the washroom, the charging ports in the attached kitchen-type area and the outdoor washing up station.
Everything was simple and easy to find and the beer on tap in the bar (Wantsum Lager) was great.
Some of the plants and scenery there made for some really magical pictures of the kids, and it all felt very safe.
All in all a lovely stay with nice people, lots of cute animals and didn't cost the earth. Fire pits are everywhere and are no additional charge too, which was a nice bonus.
Disliked Wasps nest in a stump by the log circle, and at night it sounded like a tractor ploughed the field behind a couple of times which was incredibly loud, but aside from that - no issues.
