  • Adults-only Kent countryside site with a friendly atmosphere
  • Dog-friendly site with fenced-off exercise area
  • Immaculately maintained heated amenities block
'Top of the range', 'luxurious' and 'immaculate' are a few of the accolades heaped upon the amenities at adults-only Still Acres Touring and Camping Park by grateful guests: if an essential part of your hol is sparkling and modern essentials, you'll be well set up here. But there's more. Partly because the owners of this warm and friendly family-run site in the midst of Kent know their stuff (including having a fully certified caravan repair and service technician on site to help out with problems) and partly because of the site's setting: Still Acres is just outside Wealden village, with easy access to Kent's beaches, castles and many historic houses – if you're happy to go a bit further you could even venture to la belle France (Dover is a little over an hour's drive away). The site is on 28 acres of scenic and flat grassland with two acres set aside for guests; dogs are most welcome too and have a two-acre fenced off area for off-lead frolics (with water to keep them cool and benches for their owners to have a rest on). You're very welcome to take walks (with or without a dog) around the rest of the site as well (dogs must be kept on leads and mess picked up). And as for the accoladed amenities? The shower block on site is centrally heated, with disabled toilets and powerful showers and hand dryers – and all is immaculately maintained by the Still Acres team.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: We loved our stay here. Still Acres is a beautiful campsite in a lovely area of rural Kent. Not too large, quiet as it's adults only, and surrounded by beautiful countryside. We received a warm welcome from the lady who runs the campsite, and she was always on hand if needed. The services were excellent and the toilets and showers were kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The site is ideally situated for visiting the surrounding villages, woodland and countryside and a number of National Trust properties are within a reasonably short drive. We would definitely recommend.

Fully-serviced grass touring pitch

Liked: Nice and quiet pitches.
Toilets and shower block nice and close and well kept.
A really nice dog of lead area.
Good location

Disliked: The only downside was the chemical waste unit , it's right in the middle of the touring area(next to shower block ) and depending on which way the wind blows you can smell it , unfortunately for us it was towards our motorhome for 2 nights :-(.

Power and water cann be a challenge to find lol

Local attractions

Still Acres Touring and Camping Park is most niftily located in a central position to some of the most popular Kent attractions, gardens and beaches, so pack a picnic and set off for the day to see what you can see. Castle fans (everyone should be a castle fan) have a few famed attractions in the area to pick from: the Still Acres team reckons that Leeds Castle, with 500 acres of parkland and formal gardens, daily activities and free flying falconry displays, is one of the best days out in Kent. You could/should also get along to Chiddingstone Castle, set in 35 acres of grounds including a lake, rose garden and woodland, and with the collections of Denys Eyre Bower who owned and lived at Chiddingstone between 1956 and 1977. Dover Castle, set above the famed white cliffs, and Tonbridge Castle, dating back to the eleventh century, are also popular castley Kent picks. More old buildings? See also Georgian Belmont House and Gardens in Throwley, near Faversham, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Canterbury Cathedral, St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church.
