General

  • Adults-only Kent countryside site with a friendly atmosphere
  • Dog-friendly site with fenced-off exercise area
  • Immaculately maintained heated amenities block

'Top of the range', 'luxurious' and 'immaculate' are a few of the accolades heaped upon the amenities at adults-only Still Acres Touring and Camping Park by grateful guests: if an essential part of your hol is sparkling and modern essentials, you'll be well set up here.

But there's more. Partly because the owners of this warm and friendly family-run site in the midst of Kent know their stuff and partly because of the site's setting: Still Acres is just outside Wealden village, with easy access to Kent's beaches, castles and many historic houses – if you're happy to go a bit further you could even venture to la belle France.

The site is on 28 acres of scenic and flat grassland with two acres set aside for guests; dogs are most welcome too and have a fenced off area for off-lead frolics.

And as for the accoladed amenities? The shower block on site is centrally heated, with disabled toilets and powerful showers and hand dryers – and all is immaculately maintained by the Still Acres team.

Please note

Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed on site.

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.

Units longer than 10 metres are not allowed.

Units heavier than 2000 kg are not allowed.

The charging of electric vehicles is not permitted on site.

Polythene and Tarpaulin ground sheets are not allowed with tents or caravan awnings.

Beautiful site...we were first time campers but really dont think we could have picked a better site than this one for our first time & even experienced campers told us that next to us. So lovely & quiet and everyone there was so friendly. The toilet & shower facilities are EXCELLENT, better than some hotels we have visited, always clean! The owner is wonderful lady, so friendly on arrival & departure. The dogs loved the dog field also, a great size field for our greyhounds to have a run! Cannot wait to visit again in the very near future.

Spacious and well laid out. This site is lovely with the nicest washroom facilities we have ever seen in all our years of caravanning.

It's adults only which suited us and ensured a peaceful stay.

We used the site as a one-night stopover en route home from the Dover ferry and it worked very well for this purpose.
Other guests seemed to be enjoying very extended stays and it's easy to see why they would choose this site.

Local attractions

Still Acres Touring and Camping Park is most niftily located in a central position to some of the most popular Kent attractions, gardens and beaches, so pack a picnic and set off for the day to see what you can see.

Castle fans (everyone should be a castle fan) have a few famed attractions in the area to pick from: the Still Acres team reckons that Leeds Castle, with 500 acres of parkland and formal gardens, daily activities and free flying falconry displays, is one of the best days out in Kent.

You could/should also get along to Chiddingstone Castle, set in 35 acres of grounds including a lake, rose garden and woodland, and with the collections of Denys Eyre Bower who owned and lived at Chiddingstone between 1956 and 1977. Dover Castle, set above the famed white cliffs, and Tonbridge Castle, dating back to the eleventh century, are also popular castley Kent picks.

More old buildings? See also Georgian Belmont House and Gardens in Throwley, near Faversham, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Canterbury Cathedral, St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church.
