What customers say
Roundoak Farm is an adults-only, peaceful campsite set in beautiful surroundings. Visitors praise the friendly and helpful staff, especially Guy, and the well-maintained, level pitches. The site offers a chance to experience a working rare breeds farm with animals roaming freely. While most reviews highlight the excellent facilities and tranquil atmosphere, a few mention that some facilities could benefit from upgrades and note the unisex nature of some washrooms. Access roads can be narrow. Overall, it's highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

Liked All I can say is I wish we booked for longer, it’s beautiful, peaceful and very welcoming, Gary who welcomed us in was very welcoming and passionate about the farm and the work he does!
we spoke to Norman the owner (I might of forgotten that we had to pay cash) who was of course very lovely! And very helpful even if I had to phone him at 8am in the morning and disturb him in Scotland (sorry!!) I Would honestly recommend this site to anyone, It was home away from home for us as we came from the West Country!
Don’t forget that Kent has beautiful country side too,

Liked A quiet site with open views. Pleasant, helpful staff especially Rose and Garry! Owners away on holiday so dudn't meet them. Perfect dog walk around the wood. Loved meeting the resident hedgehog.
Well cut and gathered grassed site area. Challenging access lane!
Clean facilities. Admired the classic cars! No complaints at all!
Disliked Can't fault anything.

Liked Peaceful stay with a warm welcome
We stayed at Roundoak Farm for one night and were really impressed. Gary greeted us with a friendly tour of the site, and we were kindly given early access due to a golf game we had planned—great service and much appreciated.
The site itself is peaceful and beautifully set in the Kent countryside, with lovely views and a relaxed, adults-only atmosphere. Facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the woodland walk was a nice touch for stretching the legs and enjoying the surroundings.
Security is well thought out, with gated access that gave us peace of mind—especially important when travelling with valuable kit. One thing to note for fellow motorhomers: the lane leading to the site was tight in places with our 7.3m x 2.35m x 3.0m vehicle. It’s a short stretch from the main road, so manageable, but worth taking it slow if you’re in a larger unit.
Overall, a great stopover and we’d happily return for a longer stay.

Liked We liked the quietness, the shower and facilities on offer (washing machine, fridge and microwave. The place was very clean.
Disliked Confusion over bathroom sink use (also confused German guest).

From the manager: Once again I cannot understand why if you are muddled up on site you did not ask.
You state I am a friendly owner, so approaching me would not have been an issue.
8 out of 10 is not good enough for me!
I feel offended if our rating was a result of you being confused!
As I have mentioned before this affects our overall rating.
Maybe I need to think carefully who I share this gem of a site with.

From the manager: sorry not good enough !
upon arrival we told you
10 out of 10 is the only acceptable score
you made no comments on where we failed
i am fed up with not getting the max as it affects our ratings
what did was do so wrong ?
sorry pete if
we did not a score to expectations you should have told us !
just a warning to other visitors if we don’t max expectations we need to know when you are on site and we can do something about it
bank holiday when you visited was really busy
Ruth my beautiful wife and i did everything to accommodate our guests in
quite frankly the toilets and showers were left it a shit condition
maybe we need to retire and stop sharing our special place with outsiders
I am more annoyed at a one digit downward review on a weekend we worked so hard to make great for all our visitors
i don’t think we are a site for you to revisit or recommend to friends
I am sorry but
i am really offended
Better you kept the review to yourself

Wonderful site, looking forward to returning
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Absolute gem of a site. Wonderful setting, great local produce to buy on site, beautiful yard bar, clean facilities, good water pressure, lots of animals (sheep, cows, ducks, geese, chickens, even a Harris hawk), I had ear plugs which I was grateful for otherwise I can imagine the animals would wake you up early! Owners are funny and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Lots of dog walking areas, pretty woodland. Other campers happy to chat and very friendly. Can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend

Excellent site, love the Highland cattle, we shall return
Metered electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Fabulous farm setting with huge pitches. It was very quiet during our stay but I can imagine some weekends can be very busy. Norman has a wealth of Knowledge and is happy to answer any questions you have regarding farm life. To the rear of the farm is a circular walk that is lit during the evening and is a wonderful place to walk the dog (should you bring one). A word to the wise, this is a working farm and letting your dog off for a crafty lead free run is not an option (regardless of how well behaved your pooch is) with farmyard animals all over the place things could go very wrong very quickly.
Disliked I'm struggling to find anything wrong with Roundoak farm, the proximity of the unisex toilets & showers to the washing up facilities might not be to everyone's liking, and the addition of a shelf/wire basket in the unisex showers would be helpful to put your soap or shower gel on but that said the facilities are very good and are kept very clean and there are other places on the farm to wash up, have a shower and toilets to use.
