A Cow Lover’s Paradise!
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Norman, Ruth Gary were the perfect hosts — so friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The campsite is on a working farm but is so peaceful and relaxing with immaculately clean facilities.
Not needing EHU, we chose a pitch with a front row view of the cows - I had a little chat with each of them before I went to bed and again the minute I woke up (I’m sure they really appreciated it 🤪).
We had a lovely walk to one of the village pubs through the orchards, which only took about 20 mins each way.
The cows were definitely the highlight, followed closely behind in second place by Norman, who did a lap of the site through the evening to make sure everything was okay and everyone was enjoying their stay.
We really wished we could have stayed longer but being fairly local, we hope to return next weekend 😍 🐮 😍
Disliked Not being able to take a pet cow home with us!

Cannot recommend Roundoaks enough! We will definitely be back!
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked We were so glad we stumbled on Roundoaks when looking for a few days away this week. The farm owners, Norman and Ruth, are lovely and rightly proud of their farm. You are given a great welcome, with a general tour of the site as well as a really informative guide. Everyone around the farm is also super friendly and helpful.
Not only is the setting beautiful (the pitches are well kept and spacious, some with EHU others “wild”) but guests are able (within reason - it should be remembered it’s working farm! ) to explore the setting with its fields and woodland. We loved sitting watching the sheep and cows (Roundoaks specialise in breeding rare, endangered and ancient cattle) including the huge Vaynol bull, the free roaming chickens and Highland cattle with their very cute calves! There are several toilets and showers, all impeccably clean as well as washing up areas and water points.
There are two lovely pubs in the nearby village (a bit of a steep walk but Norman will point you in the right direction) and an incredible view over the Weald of Kent.
The farm is very dog friendly but they must be kept on lead, for obvious reasons).
The site is very peaceful and relaxing with stunning dark skies perfect for stargazing on a clear night.
Disliked Nothing to dislike (other than we wished we had booked for longer!)

Gorgeous campsite on a working farm.…
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Gorgeous campsite on a working farm. It’s so relaxed there. You can wander round and see all the animals. There is a lovely little wooded area too where you can walk through to see the Highland Cattle. Some
Had just had calves so we couldn’t get up really close but it was so lovely to see. Don’t be put off by the lane to the farm - I see others have mentioned it. If you follow the directions provided, you are only on it for a really short time and we didn’t meet another vehicle at all when we were arriving or leaving. Facilities are clean and there are plenty of them. Thanks to Garry and Norman for their hospitality. We hope you will allow us back soon.
Oh, and thank you to the lovely lady and gentleman in the office who let me sit in there for an hour when my dog got a bit hot when we arrived. So appreciated! I will wash your towel and post back.

Liked Such a wonderful gem of a site. A warm welcome awaited us right from first arriving at the farm. Made to feel like it was home from home, at one with nature. Even had the honour of witnessing a rare breed calf being born, and seeing it take its first steps. Truly amazing. Special thanks to Ruth & Norman for sharing a little piece of their world with us ♥️
