Roundoak Farm

Gostou Lovely quiet camping site , had a relaxing couple of days at the farm . Good facilities , showers lovely . It was lovely seeing all the cows and the chickens,ducks and Geese free to roam. Its secure site , gates always shut .Everyone was Very helpful

Gostou Such a peaceful place. Stunning views of rolling fields and tree's with its own bluebell wood to wonder through. The rare breed animals were great to see. The owners stopped by while walking their dogs and gave a brief but interesting history of the farm and rare breeds. All the staff were very friendly. Will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Não gostou Gaining access to via the security gate was a little fraught as we were not expected despite booking. Suggest calling ahead with to arrange access. Otherwise perfect!

Gostou Great hosts and space to camp. Lovely setting so peaceful and great to walk around a lovely working farm. Facilities good and fresh eggs available!

Gostou Such a wonderful site. A working farm but they aren’t precious about having a walk around to look at the animals (obviously with a few warnings depending on the time of year/what is going on at the farm). Staff are lovely, Garry is full of knowledge about the animals. Norman and Ruth, the owners are so welcoming.
The site is down a narrow lane but it’s in the middle of the countryside so what would you expect and believe me the lane is worth it because the site is idyllic.

Gostou Welcoming owners, lovely quiet site. I’m sure this would be even better in the summer.

Gostou Lovely farm campsite for our campervan stay. The pitch was clean, spacious, and easy to access, with everything we needed. All the facilities were well maintained and conveniently located.

It was really peaceful being surrounded by the countryside, and we enjoyed the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. It was lovely to see all the animals and they are so well cared for . The owners were very welcoming and even gave us a tour of the farm, which was a lovely touch.

A great spot to unwind — we’d happily stay again.

Gostou Our stay at Round Oak Farm near Maidstone was a genuinely relaxing and memorable getaway, perfect for anyone looking to unwind in the countryside.

From the moment we arrived, the setting stood out. This is a true working farm, which adds to its authentic, rustic charm. The surroundings are beautifully maintained yet retain a natural, slightly quirky character that makes the place feel unique and full of personality.

One of the highlights was the sense of quiet and privacy. Whether it was enjoying a morning coffee outside or winding down in the evening, the atmosphere was calm and unhurried. Being on a working farm added an extra layer of interest, with a gentle sense of day to day farm life happening around us without ever feeling disruptive.

The location near Maidstone was also ideal, peaceful and tucked away, yet close enough to explore local pubs, shops, and attractions when we wanted to venture out.

The hosts were welcoming and helpful without being intrusive, and the whole experience felt thoughtfully put together. It is the kind of place that embraces its quirks and countryside charm, which only adds to its appeal.

Overall, Round Oak Farm is a fantastic choice for a countryside stay. It is ideal for couples, looking for a peaceful break with a bit of character. We would happily return and would recommend it to others looking for a relaxing, rustic escape in Kent.

Gostou Our 2nd visit to Roundoak Farm, although this time it was brief as a 1 night stop over on our way home from a long drive from France.
As expected everything was wonderful, great communication on entry codes and where to park and the woods to walk the dogs through.
It is difficult this time of year (February) to find sites that are open so thank you to Norman and Ruth for being open 365 days a year.
We will return and bring our son and daughter in law in their VW as an anniversary gift.
