What customers say
This is a tranquil, adult-only farm campsite focused on rare breeds. Guests consistently praise the friendly and helpful site manager, Guy (though noted as no longer with the site), and the peaceful surroundings with animals. Recent reviews highlight newly installed, clean shower and toilet facilities and a kitchen area. While some found the location remote, others appreciated the rural setting. The site is generally described as secure with large, level pitches. Some guests noted the site is still developing, with a few instances of confusion regarding advertised facilities versus those available on-site.

Location was wonderful surrounded by fields.…
Electric grass pitch
Liked Location was wonderful surrounded by fields. It is only about 20 minutes from where we live but could have been anywhere. Facilities were great there are 2 showers and 2 toilets and a kitchen area with kettle and microwave. All brand new I think and very nicely presented. Liked it here so much have rebooked for a few weeks time. This was our very first time caravan camping so didnt know what to expect. We had a few teething problems with our caravan as it is new to us but we can’t wait to get back in it.

From the manager: Wow I like this review.
It is what we work so hard to create and we love sharing it.
Many thanks.

All in all a clean, peaceful retreat, perfect for chilling out.

Liked Lovely site, we stayed on the adult only farm as they have a sister farm close by which i believe caters more for famalies, we were met by one of the staff members who showed us the facilities, there are two toilets and two separate showers all fresh and clean. Its a working farm but very little noise from the farm itself and the road. The main field is all grass with ample water points and electric hook ups. Location wise its about an hour to Dover, Hastings, and about 1hr 30mins to Brighton. Theres a small conveniance store in Ulcombe if you need any supplies and a pub if you fancy eating out. The site is really secure with fencing all round and a coded entrance.
Disliked Nothing.

Lovel. Would stay again
Electric grass pitch
Liked Beautiful surroundings and lovely little kitchen, shower and toilet unit. Very peaceful and lots of lovely walks and cycle rides
Disliked There were just two of us there so showering was fine but if the pitches were full, just two showers and toilets would not be enough
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: You obviously did not see the portable shower and WC facilities and the portable toilets on site.
These were not open as the site was not busy.
I again must remind everybody this is a CL and as such has limited facilities all be it the facilities we have put in are superb, with showers, toilets and a kitchen with washing machine and fridge freezer.
Dont think your comments in the dislike were fair or for that matter reasonable.
Most touring caravans and motor homes have on board facilities, the problem is people don't like using them.
It would have been better not to have made any comment.
I better say no more!

Very relaxing in beautiful countryside.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Beautiful site in midst of lovely countryside.
Clean and tidy there was only 3 motorhomes there so the toilets and showers were always available.
We were also given use of the indoor fridge which was helpful in last week's heat.
Disliked There's no local shops or pub but we had ebikes with us so it was easy to get to lovely Headcorn.

From the manager: You won't be surprised I am disappointed with your comments.
We have installed brand new showers, toilets and a kitchen with washing machine and fridge freezer.
This is a rural site and that is how it is described.
It is situated in the Kentish countryside.
It is not a village location so there are no shops.
There are two pubs within walking distance of the site.
The who'a'hought it and the Kings Head both in grafty green.
There is a mop and bucket under the stairs in the kitchen.
Not sure what you mean about varnishing the doors, they are all brand new.
As mentioned in the past this is a well appointed CL site, with beautiful surroundings with the backdrop of my rare breed sheep and cattle including highlanders. Getting 8 out of 10 greatly affects our overall ratings.

Lovely site
Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Nice well laid out pitches plenty of room(even if we were not the only ones there). Lovely views on one side nice to see the cattle and rare breed sheep. The new toilet and shower block is beautiful(even though we only discovered it on the last day) as there was one toilet/shower on its own which we thought was it!
Disliked Nothing really. Location slightly remote but it was peaceful mostly, just a little traffic noise. Would definitely stay again.

From the manager: Well ! What a mixed up muddled up review!
We like
We don’t like
I am confused
this is a CL on a special farm and place we choose to share with you.
There are a number of people on site I am surprised you did not find the new shower and toilets.
Sorry about the rural location.
That is what we are
A farm in the Kentish countryside.
The acess roads are not that bad
Maybe you have a motorhome tha is too large for the sites you are choosing to stay on
With this superb CL only 10 out of 10 is acceptable.
The art of communication is important.
If you had only asked!
Not sure after you read this you will want to come back
Pity,
I live here and enjoy it everyday and I choose to share it.
Not sure you will want to come again

From the manager: You leave me speechless!
Dislikes - Location!
Then you say you would visit again and recommend to friends!
Just look at our reviews at both Kings Oak and our sister farm Roundoak. The rural location in the Kentish countryside and on a farm is what appeals to most people.
With google maps it is not difficult to explore the location.
7 out of 10 is just not acceptable to me.
You dont realise how much damage this does in our overall rating.
Both Roundoak and Kings Oak rare breed farms with the wonderful backdrop of our animals including Highlanders and the Kentish countryside is a special place we choose to share.
maybe the tick box in the 'visit again' was a mistake!

Electric grass pitch
Liked Beautiful site, very level pitches. Friendly owner came to say hi and was very understanding when I didn't realise I had to take some cash!!
Highly recommend 👌
I had to give 1 star for no wifi but we really didnt want or need wifi so it wasn't an actual problem.
Disliked Our only downside was it was our first time out in our motorhome and crumps lane felt very small! It was worth the scare once we got there!

From the manager: Thanks for your comments and rating,
Sorry about the wi-fi that is work in progress.
Hopefully, staying at Kingsoak is about getting away from what is turning into a horrible world!
