Bumblebee non-electric earth tent pitch (four person)
Liked: The whole site is well set out, tidy, really clean and has such a welcoming feeling.
The owners Simon and Toyah both made an appearance and n several occasions to ensure our stay was comfortable and we had everything we need.
The site also runs an honesty system for supplies so you're free to help yourself and pay before you leave which we really liked.

Fox non-electric earth tent pitch (six person, woodland)
Liked: Well set up campsite. All the pitches were in the woods, separated nicely. Each had its own good size area with a specific place for a fire. Nice to have a communal area with games.
Disliked: The toilet block was mixed and only had 2 sinks. This felt a little crowded when people were using the bathroom to get ready, brushing teeth/ using mirrors etc.

Ladybird non-electric earth tent pitch (four person)
Liked: The owners were lovely and helped with anything we needed or any questions. the pitches are far apart enough that you don’t really see anyone unless you are on the communal paths or areas. Shower/ toilet block is good, although i don’t think more than one person can use the showers at once. definitely would stay again as the location is also ideal!

From the manager: Thanks so much for your kind review. So sorry you had a struggle with the showers, wish you would have mentioned at the time, as we would have been happy to look into this for you and check for an issue. Best wishes LNW x

Bumblebee non-electric earth tent pitch (four person)
Liked: As cliched as it sounds, this is the best campsite we've stayed at.
Check-in was nice and personable and easy.
The pitch itself was fantastic, nicely secluded in the woods away from other campers but still an easy walk to the car and the facilities. Tree cover meant it's not too light in the early morning through the tent, and not windy for the campfire. And huge wheelbarrows provided for moving stuff to the pitch!
The toilets and showers are brilliant, properly built in, proper sinks, mirror, even a hairdryer. Plenty of drinking water taps around and a sink for washing up.
There's an amazing honesty shop with firewood, kindling, and all the essentials you might have forgotten, even icecreams. A badminton net with racquets and shuttlecocks, cornhole, a covered hut with beanbags, board games and books. They've thought of everything!
Oh and the location is great, easy driving distance to Folkestone, Broadstairs, and Margate and Canterbury, as well as some lovely village country pubs.

Rabbit non-electric earth tent pitch (seven person)
Liked: Had a fabulous weekend with my husband, adult children and grandchildren. We stayed at rabbit and had plenty of room to pitch two large tents, could easily fit another it was that spacious. The set up was great, close to the amenities which was ideal with three young children, with a lovely clean bathroom, and showers, the family shower is ideal for ppl with small children. Absolutely loved the games hut, plenty of choice to amuse everyone and we were lucky enough to have great weather to play badminton and corn hole, the kids also enjoyed doing craft stuff in the hideaway, and we were pleasantly surprised how much thought had gone into this site. The honesty shop was great, and lovely to see that the prices were very reasonable, not over inflated like some places... the free apples were a nice touch! Also, if you're up early enough, the seating area to watch the sunrise was a lovely idea.
Disliked: Nothing!!

Woodpecker non-electric earth tent pitch (four person, woodland)
Liked: We had a lovely 2 nights stay in this beautiful woodland.
We went the week after summer holidays so there wasn't many campers on site which suited us fine, although the pitches are well thought out so I can't imagine many campers would have changed our experience either.
The pitches are well maintained and feel very homely.
The feel of wild camping with those little extras a short walk away. (Shower, toilet, small shop, charging point).
Disliked: (Not a dislike, just a heads up)
We had a few hours of high wind when we stayed which meant we were asked to stay in the communal area which is not built up with woodland, for safety reasons.
As the pitches are right under the trees, the owners obviously can't guarantee branches/twigs won't fly off, so during these times you are asked to move off the pitch. This was fine with us as the communal area is a nice place to sit and read, play games or gather your thoughts whilst looking at the view.
