  • Within walking distance of St Helens beach and three miles from Ryde
  • Pool, waterslides and sports complex with bodyboarding and archery
  • Kids' club, evening entertainment and bar and diner with bay views
Tiddly-om-pom-pom along the prom as you admire the golden sands of St Helens beach, a mere hop and skip away from your tent at Nodes Point Holiday Park. On top of a fulsome complement of basic amenities, guests get free access to the pool, waterslides and sports complex, which offer everything from hydrodomes and bodyboarding to basketball and archery. Mealtimes at the Harbour Bar and Diner come with a side order of arresting views down to the bay. There are kids’ clubs for various age groups and the site’s Showbar offers a decent programme of evening entertainment too.

Fully-serviced grass touring pitch (super)

Liked Fully serviced pitches were a decent size, great access to St Helens beach and the site was kept clean and tidy. Our pitch was reasonably level but we managed with levelling blocks.
The site Shop was well stocked with the usual groceries and extras, there was a good laundry room, a bar, entertainment and a decent enough restaurant.
It's a great location for exploring the island and there's plenty to see and do nearby, Baywatch restaurant on the beach is amazing and about a 5 minute walk!

Disliked A site that size could do with a few more showers and toilets, they were serviceable but could do with an update too.
View from our pitch was of large gas storage tanks opposite which was less than optimal, maybe they could be screened off in a more attractive way without compromising safety?

Electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Pitch dicht bij het strand. Mooie plek.

Fully-serviced grass touring pitch (super)

Liked The location is second to none.
The site is spacious and relaxing

Disliked The hygiene in the shower/toilets is appalling. Black mold. (Easily cleaned with mold remover). Apparently they are cleaned for an hour each day. If so, the cleaning team are not doing a good job Always short on loo roll. Staff are curt and rude on occasion. Particularly, bar staff and “security”. Food is average at best. Hugely overpriced, adding two slices of bacon and halloumi makes a Caesar salad £19.95. The shop is poorly stocked. No camping equipment, or fresh produce. Again staff were curt. Even the paid wifi is terrible.

Electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Wij stonden beneden bij de ingang naar t strand. To plek. Met een grotere camper moet je bovenaan staan.
Het is een super leuke plek daar beneden aan. Vandaar uit genoeg te doen.

Fully-serviced grass touring pitch (super)

Liked Close vicinity to the beach. Just a 10 minute walk away.

Disliked We stayed in a fully serviced motorhome pitch. We had a view from the back of dense and overgrown hedgerow. And a view in front of the same. Felt very hemmed in. The facilities are all uphill and no routes shown so a long walk around to get there. We didn’t bother. It feels like the whole site needs a rethink. The grass beside the pitch was more of a dry mud pit. All in all a very depressing stay. We have been all around the UK in the motorhome and this was the worst pitch we have stayed in. Thank goodness it was only one night. Then off to The Orchards on the opposite side of the island with a much better layout and a beautiful view.

From the manager: Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

We're pleased to hear you enjoyed our location and found the beach to be within easy walking distance.

We're sorry, however, that your experience on your fully serviced motorhome pitch did not meet your expectations. We understand how important the outlook and overall layout of a pitch can be, and we're disappointed to learn that you felt it was enclosed by the surrounding hedgerows.

While we're disappointed that your visit fell short of expectations, we do appreciate your honest feedback as it helps us identify where improvements are needed. We hope you'll consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with a more enjoyable stay in the future. ^SR

Local attractions

With the lovely St Helens within strolling distance, visitors would be forgiven for staying close to home; however, other Blue Flag beaches such as Sandown are but a short drive away (and dinosaur fans will enjoy the animatronics in the pterodactyl-shaped Dinosaur Isle museum here too). The carnival town of Ryde with its pier and marina is only three miles from Nodes Point, and the neighbouring village of Bembridge has a pretty harbour and some great pubs and restaurants, as well as the only windmill remaining on the island. Fakenham Farm offers the usual farmyard friends, plus a smattering of more exotic species. Visitors will also be chuffed with the views offered by the magnificent machines of the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, which stages many special events in season and also hosts a falconry display.
