Nodes Point Holiday Park

Μου άρεσε Fantastic location, very close to the beach which was not overcrowded. The pitches are fairly level. Our pitch was huge and easily accommodated our Berghaus air 600 tent with a porch, we had lots of space to sit outside, too. Clean facilities, in fact, the whole site was being cleaned daily so there was no rubbish anywhere, lots of bins provided. The staff was super helpful. Our kids got a football stuck in brambles and lovely people who were cutting the hedges rescued the ball for them. Lady in a restaurant made our daughter's day when she offered to prepare pancakes with strawberries just for her after the breakfasts had finished and the chef refused. We were allowed to leave our car in the park after checkout to enjoy the beach before heading home. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the football pitch, there was a kids disco in the evening which was also nice for them. It was quiet at nights. We couldn't connect to WiFi where we were and the reception was not great but WiFi was good in the restaurant area so it was ok. We had a great time.

Μου άρεσε Really good clean looked after toilets and showers. Stuff for the kids - playground and entertainment etc etc. great for beach. Helpful understanding staff. Overall we had fun.

Μου άρεσε Great location near the beach, nice facilities. Suitable for older and younger kids, there’s swimming and entertainment in the evening.

Μου άρεσε Le personnel est tres agréable et compétent.

Δεν μου άρεσε Les campeurs ne prennent pas soin des locaux mis en commun (chasse d’eau non tirées, dentifrice sur les lavabos, évier pour la vaisselle non nettoyé ) et ne respectent pas leur voisinage ( bruit jusqu’à minuit voire une heure du matin).
Emplacement trop près les uns les autres.
Plage impraticable, impossible de s’y baigner ( trop d’insectes)

Δεν μου άρεσε Entertainment was a bit of a problem - The quiz relied on an app on your phone and we tried on two nights and it wouldn't connect.

Μου άρεσε 30 seconds walk from beach and coast walk. Showers and toilets are decent and clean.

Δεν μου άρεσε Pitches are far too small and close together. So many dogs (lots of bullies) per pitch, no policing of loud speakers after 11pm or at 7am and cars wedged between tents. The kids pool opens at 10.15 and you have to book which wasn’t made clear. Restaurant etc are awful as reviews say, like a UKIP summer festival. The horse ride activities look good but really, this is a rough site for Middle aged drunks and elderly in the owned statics caravans.

Δεν μου άρεσε Upon arrival, at Nodes Point my dog and I were greeted kindly by reception staff. Unfortunately, that friendliness did not continue. I made my way to my pitch and prior to setting up my tent I went with my dog to the toilet block, as it had been a long journey. Site rules state that dogs should always be on a lead and supervised at all times. Once in the toilet cubicle with my dog, a loud voice shouted into the block “the women with the dog you need to get out, dogs are not allowed in the toilet block”. I apologised and explained I was unaware dogs weren't allowed inside. While sat on the toilet she continued to confront me through the toilet cubicle door. I hastily finished my wee and came out to talk to this woman in a more civilised manner. She identified herself as Jackie, a warden on the site, and insisted dogs were not allowed in the toilet block, despite there being no signage indicating this. Jackie swiftly found issue with any solutions I presented. Her only suggestion was that I tied my dog up outside, which I deemed unsafe and against site rules. Feeling attacked and unwelcome, I sought clarification at reception. The reception staff had gone home so I spoke to the sales staff who were helpful and proactively sought a solution. I feel disappointed with the lack of open discussion, consideration for others and the confrontational attitude of the warden. What a poor way to start my stay.
I am not the only person who solo camps with their dog. If no dogs allowed in the toilet cubicles is a rule at the site then this needs to be made clear on the website and at point of booking as we would not have come here. We spent the rest of our stay at this site keeping to ourselves and although the showers and washing up facilities were good the whole stay was tainted by the constant feeling there would be something else we would do wrong.

Μου άρεσε Pitch was perfect - flat for VW Camper sufficient space for awning; easy walking distance to all amenities as well as the beach/sea- his stop on entrance to site - all we wanted!

Δεν μου άρεσε Shower/toilet room was always roasting - felt like heating was on but possibly just the hot weather. WIFI didn’t reach our area only when we were stood out on the road past the pitched area could we get a signal
