- Small family-run site in a New Forest hamlet
- Traditional award-winning pub right next door
- Campfires allowed and fire baskets provided
Harrys Field is a small family-run site in a quiet corner of the New Forest near the peaceful hamlet of Frogham. Three generations of the same family have lived next door for over 40 years – you’ll pass Grandad Harry’s cottage on the way in to the site. Keen campers for generations, the family now run their own campsite and look forward to greeting many guests.
Harrys is surrounded by open forest, wildlife and villages. Its nearest neighbour is the Foresters Arms, an award-winning and fine dining country pub with a good selection of real ales.
The site has large level pitches, plenty of toilets, hot showers and sinks for washing up. Campfires are allowed and fire baskets can be provided.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.

Directions from London: take the M3 to M27 junction 1, then take the B3078 to Godshill for approx 10 miles. Pass The Fighting Cocks Pub and Sandyballs Holiday Village and take the first left to Blissford. Go up the steep hill, turn left at the Foresters pub and in immediately on the left.
Downhill forest trails are nearby for mountain bikers and miles of gentle, flat, family-friendly paths are around for cycling. Many of the cycle and walking tracks in the forest pass some well-known pubs: the Harrys Field team recommends the Royal Oak in Fritham and the High Corner Inn at Linwood for refuelling stops. Riding stables are a few minutes' walk from the site if you'd prefer to get out by hoof.
Half an hour's drive will take you to the coast, from the quiet wooded beaches around Lymington to the massive sand dunes along Hengistbury Head and Mudeford.
