Liked: We LOVED the camp site! We enjoyed exploring the Woodlands and liked the fact that everything was in easy reach... However, we're were far enough away from the busyness that it was easy to forget about whilst we were enjoying the slower pace of life. The facilities were perfect for us and the hot water in the showers a real treat.

Liked: Really lovely place, maintained really well and Pam made sure we had everything we needed. Great walks and adventures in the wood land area and make sure you go up and look at the water lilies!

Disliked: No dislikes, will definitely be going again

Liked: Its was all very lovely, very quiet and relaxing. Toilets and showers where clean.

Disliked: Would have been nice if all the grass had been cut.

Liked: Friendly staff, happy to help with anything on site, big open spaces with lots of woodlands,pretty fishing pond and toilets, showers and washing up sink all had hot water aswell as lots of drinking water points, made for a great first camping experience for my son!

Liked: What a beautiful place to camp. Clean hot showers and an outside sink for washing up. We went electric and had no problems at all. The field is surrounded by woodland teeming with wildlife… seeing the deer on the first day was amazing. Fire pit and firewood available from the hosts who were very helpful and kind, popping by every day to see if we needed anything. If you want to get away and relax, this is the place to go. We will definitely be returning. Thanks Pam and family.

Liked: What's not to like? It's basic but has everything you need! Toilets and showers were clean and worked all the time. Pitches are spacious and electric was available. Was perfect for what we needed and will be back!

Liked: Loved the fact we had no WiFi we actually had fun around fire toasting marshmallows and talking to our lovely 12 year old x shooting stars and dragonflies were amazing very clean toilet block showers

Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Liked: Peace and quiet Very large pitches Surrounded by forest Very friendly helpful staff Clean facilities Beautiful surrounding area The beach is only 20 minutes drive away.

Disliked: This is a very minor thing. The lights by the toilet and shower block are very bright at night which makes star gazing less amazing. I just had to walk far enough away from them so that I was out of their glare.

Ahoy there, me hearties – if you’ve got kids, you won’t want to miss out on Treasure Island, where kids can pretend to be on Captain Hook’s ship for a day on a host of pirate-themed attractions. Elsewhere, take a tumble at Fort Fun (25 minutes), an outdoor water adventure park with all manner of slides. The adventure continues at Knockhatch Adventure Park (10 minutes), where kids will be throwing scraps to meerkats one minute and racing down waterslides the next. It’s not all play pretend, though. After plotting your way through the 300-acre woodlands and formal themed gardens, you can gaze at real moats and red bricks at 15th-century Herstmonceux Castle (15 minutes) or get starry-eyed using the telescopes at The Observatory Science Centre (15 minutes). Look west and you’ll find Eastbourne (25 minutes) and its colourful art scene, while closer by, you can pack a picnic for the 18-acre Blackberry Farm Park (15 minutes) – just make sure the alpacas and wildfowl don’t nab your sandwich while your back is turned. More chummy animals await at the zoo at Drusillas Park (25 minutes).

Admission

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
The site will send you further check-in information 3 day(s) before your arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 14 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

General

Quiet hours must be respected between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m..
The fishing lakes are stocked with crucian carp, perch, gold fish, tench, mirror carp, common carp, rudd and roach.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
This site does have a catch-and-return fishing policy in place.

Occupancy

Group bookings of 4 or more units (e.g. tent, touring caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
Swimming in the lake is not allowed.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
No vehicle movement between 10:30 p.m. and 8 a.m..
