Rock up here for a restful retreat among the comely grounds of Ashton Hall Caravan Park… Within Ashton Hall’s extensive estate are an 11-hole golf course with spectacular seaward vista, as well as a garden centre and café, all bordered by ancient woodlands and the River Lune, and direct access to the Lancashire Coastal Way and the Lune Estuary Footpath. Your holiday days will surely fill up quickly with all there is to do around the locale too – if you manage to tear yourself away from the site, that is – as the Forest of Bowland, the Lune Estuary and Lancaster city are all within six miles. On site, there's loads of room to wander around the grounds or in the adjoining forest for woodland walking routes, nature trails and cycle paths, many of which will take you from the site directly to the banks of the River Lune. On top of all this, the site takes pride in its sparklingly clean unisex toilet and shower facilities in a modern stone-built bathroom block with underfloor heating. The building includes an accessible bathroom/ family facility, a vanity area with washbasins, big mirrors and a hairdryer, a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers, and a covered washing-up area – like the site itself, the amenities block is safely secure and accessed via a secure key code. A local pub and restaurant lies within a mile of the estate, and Lancaster is three miles away.

Liked: The location, great for walking the dog and strolling to the pub. Showers and toilets clean and warm. Pitch was well spaced and its only a small site so nice and quiet.

Liked: Peaceful site with lovely, clean facilities. Great access to the cycle track. Very easy check in & Roger, the site owner was very helpful with any queries/questions. Pitches are level with plenty of space in between.

Disliked: No WiFi

Liked: Fabulous views. Quite. Space, not too many pitches.shower/toilet facilities. Nice walk to choice of pubs/food. Local garden centre in walking distance do good food also.

Disliked: Toilet block not as clean as previous trips and ran out of hot water.

Liked: Peace and quiet , good size pitch with water on pitch . Facilities fairly clean , just support posts for shower panels are a bit grotty at the bottom , showers are a touch on the very hot side . Footpath through wood to Bay cycle /footpath , left to Glasson , with 2 cafes , pub and port of Lancaster smokehouse shop . Right to Lancaster .

Disliked: See above comment about very hot showers , but they are prob just right in early or late season . Suggest owner try’s shower out to see what opinion they have

Liked: Very close to the town and to the university. Beautiful site with plenty of room on the pitch. A short walk through the woods and the Lancaster way is on the door step. Very peaceful. Saw deer , plenty of birds and a carpet of bluebells. Beautiful! Washing building was warm and clean.

Liked: Lovely, not too large campsite just outside Lancaster, in a quiet location overlooking some fields.
Easy access to walking / cycling path to Lancaster. Within walking distance of a pub (The Stork) (you may need a torch).
Good facilities, bathrooms are heated, warm shower.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed on site.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Modifications are subject to a £25.00 fee.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.
