Rock up here for a restful retreat among the comely grounds of Ashton Hall Caravan Park… Within Ashton Hall’s extensive estate are an 11-hole golf course with spectacular seaward vista, as well as a garden centre and café, all bordered by ancient woodlands and the River Lune, and direct access to the Lancashire Coastal Way and the Lune Estuary Footpath. Your holiday days will surely fill up quickly with all there is to do around the locale too – if you manage to tear yourself away from the site, that is – as the Forest of Bowland, the Lune Estuary and Lancaster city are all within six miles. On site, there's loads of room to wander around the grounds or in the adjoining forest for woodland walking routes, nature trails and cycle paths, many of which will take you from the site directly to the banks of the River Lune. On top of all this, the site takes pride in its sparklingly clean unisex toilet and shower facilities in a modern stone-built bathroom block with underfloor heating. The building includes an accessible bathroom/ family facility, a vanity area with washbasins, big mirrors and a hairdryer, a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers, and a covered washing-up area – like the site itself, the amenities block is safely secure and accessed via a secure key code. A local pub and restaurant lies within a mile of the estate, and Lancaster is three miles away.

喜欢 Nice site. Decent toilet block and washing up facilities. Lovely views across the fields. Access to the cycle path and walks down to Lancaster or to Conder Green , where there’s a nice pub called The Stork 🍺 🥘 bus route nearby too and uber is about £6-7 to / from Lancaster.

不喜欢 Probs a little high priced. Going up to £39 a night next year. But not much to dislike really.

喜欢 Ashton Hall without a doubt is top of our list. The remoteness, beauty, peace & being close to nature is in abundance.

Ashton Hall is truly special. This site is like wild camping, yet with the luxury of a spotless shower block thrown in.

So pleased to have discovered Ashton Hall for future breaks in our motor home.

喜欢 Peaceful , lovely toilet block, lovely garden centre 5 mins walk away had a great breakfast and a great pub 15 mins walk away , both are dog friendly had a walk to glasson dock , really enjoyed ot here , definitely be back

喜欢 Location, this is a quiet site in a very nice rural setting. There is a pleasant walk to Glasson Docks.
Despite not actually seeing anyone in person connected with the site, there was good communication via text messages. In particular, regarding directions to the site, avoiding narrow access roads.
The pitches are a good size and not too close to each other.

不喜欢 The amenities block was not cleaned over the 2 nights we stayed there. We didn't see any members of site staff over the duration of our stay.
Toilet roll in both ladies and gents toilets was in short supply, counter tops around sinks became dirtier during our stay.
Although, not a major issue, I would not have expected this to be the case.
The access lane to the site could use some maintenance, passable but certainly have to take care. I think over all, the site looks a little care worn and could do with a little attention, whilst we would stay here again I think we would be careful to check that things had not deteriorated any further. For us it is on the cusp and could go either way!

喜欢 It was an amazing stay ,so tranquil.we had amazing walks from the site. We really felt like we have discovered an absolute gem. We can't wait to return again very soon.

喜欢 Cracking site, extra large pitch, adults only which made the site very quiet, very clean toilet block, with showers, washing machine.
Lovely walks nearby, superb pub 10/15 mins walk away.

Slightly further afield, the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is within easy reach by car at 16 miles, and a regular bus service runs direct from Ashton Estate in to Lancaster. Road and rail links from the city will take you to Cumbria and beyond too if you're using the site as a base for exploring the Lake District, Morecambe, or Blackpool, 50 minutes away by car. To be served with a slice of local history, the medieval Lancaster Castle, Ashton Memorial folly in Williamson Park and the city museums are all historic hotspots worth squeezing into any busy itinerary.
