What customers say

This is a peaceful, rural campsite on a working farm, praised for its beautiful views, quiet atmosphere, and plentiful space. Facilities, including toilets and showers, are consistently described as immaculately clean. Owners are frequently mentioned as exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful, offering great local advice. Easy access from the M6 makes it an ideal stopover, with nearby villages offering pubs and amenities. Some minor points include potential noise from the M6 or farm animals and occasional uneven pitches, though generally, guests find flat spots. Many reviewers express a strong desire to return.

Non-electric grass and earth motorhome pitch

Liked Stayed here a couple of times now after a day on the fells. Super convenient for the M6 but still feels nice and quiet. Site is simple and spotlessly clean and the owners couldn't be nicer.

Non-electric grass and earth motorhome pitch

Liked The site is set up on a moor with beautiful views. It was quiet when we stayed - only one other van - lovely clean toilets and showers. It was an easy walk to a great pub with food in Orton and very peaceful despite the proximity to the M6. Definitely one for a longer visit.
Great communication from the owner - very friendly and helpful 😊

Non-electric grass and earth motorhome pitch

Liked Lovely views and soundtrack to nature. We had enough space to feel like we had our own private ‘zone’ and the site wasn’t overly packed which we have found with other sites as this can really ruin a stay and the overall privacy and tranquility. We personally had no issue with road noise in the slightest. Owner was very friendly and regularly checked the facilities to ensure they were clean and tidy.

Disliked Outside tap for washing up doesn’t have hot water and showers are basic with low pressure. Could do with a storage bench or similar in the shower as it was a little tricky to wash and change in the cubicle without everything getting wet. Sinks are communal and not in a block which again isn’t an issue but worth noting if you are looking for a little more privacy. This is a working farm and the site to pitch is a field so not the most level but this is part of the charm, just something to note that levellers would be needed for larger vehicles.
