What customers say
Fantastic views, peace and quiet, and super-friendly owners! Toilets/showers are spotless. Handy for the M6 stopover. Pitches can be sloped, but there's plenty of room. Occasional farm noise.

Excellent campsite for my purposes, calm and peaceful plot of land.
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked I liked the spacious campsite with the picnic tables dotted around, left for plenty of privacy and convenience.
Also the view in the mornings was very peaceful.
The shower / toilet block was very well done and thought out, with plenty of space in the showers to get changed and not wet your clothes. Consistent hot water also.
The owners checked me in in the evening and gave me some useful information about the site and local amenities.
The location of the site was ideal - close enough to the Lake District to commute for my daily Wainwright walks, but far enough away for it not to feel busy at all.
Easy to find.
Plenty of flat pitches.
Disliked Room for improvement: Perhaps look at installing some hanging hooks near the sink area in the ablutions, so people can make use of these with their travel wash kits.
