What customers say
This well-maintained campsite in a beautiful Lake District location receives consistent praise for its friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and spacious pitches. It's a popular choice for families, offering a playground and woodland walks. Its prime location for hiking, particularly to Scafell Pike and Wast Water, is frequently highlighted. Limited WiFi and phone signal are available at reception. Minor criticisms include the rocky ground for pegs and occasional queues for facilities during peak times.

Liked The facilities were nice and we're clean. The staff were really helpful and friendly. It was a lovely site, easy to relax and enjoy ourselves. We will certainly be staying again in the future!
The farm shop on site was well stocked and ita close to a lovely little pub. I was also pleasantly surprised how reasonable the price of things in the shop and local pub were! A lovely place and a really good camp site.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (small)
Liked Friendly welcome and idyllic location. Well stocked shop and close to excellent public house.
Disliked Considering it was peak season the site was quite full as expected. However the toilet facilities were quite a distance from our pitch. Would recommend a second toilet block for these occasions.

Great site in a lovely part of the Lake District.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (large)
Liked Clean, well- spaced campsite. Play park was a hit with our children, as was the walk through the woods before bed. We walked down to the pub for tea which was great and very accommodating. We just went for a night to try out camping with our 6,3 and 1 year old and we were able to enjoy it without the added hassle of having to cook and clean dishes. We got a coffee from the reception area on the morning and headed to the Saw Mill cafe for breakfast before heading out to paddle board on Wast Water. It was a great intro in to camping for us. We will certainly recommend this campsite.
