What customers say
This is a popular basic camping site, praised for its peaceful, spacious, and clean environment, with many visitors highlighting the friendly and helpful owners. Guests enjoy the convenient location with easy access to walks, a river for swimming, and a short stroll to the local village. The provision of fire pits is a recurring positive. Some minor concerns include occasional nearby road noise and occasional reports of portaloo odours, though many find them clean. The site is particularly recommended for families seeking a safe space for children to play.

Great place to stay
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Quiet, relaxed, great location with the river right next to the campsite
Disliked Only one toilet is the only thing I would change, when we were there there was only one other tent there but I imagine if it was busy you'd be waiting sometimes. It was kept lovely and clean though so I have left it at 10 stars.

Back to basics campsite.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked It's an empty field with a portaloo, a sink and water. Fire pits and BBQs allowed. The kids love it because they can run around and do their own thing. It's not a massive site but it's closed off and you can see everywhere. It's a mile or so into town. It's nice if you want to get away and chill.
