What customers say
This peaceful campsite offers stunning natural scenery and easy access to numerous walks. Visitors praised the clean and well-maintained basic facilities, including hot showers, and the friendly, helpful owners. The location near a river and local pub was frequently highlighted. Some noted the lack of phone signal and showers being a short walk from the main camping area. Minor points included hard ground for pegs and occasional midges. Overall, it's a highly recommended back-to-basics camping experience.

Excellent site for those who want to be out in nature.
Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked Great location, beautiful surroundings and very rural. Bus stop close by which meant we could leave the campervan. There was a separate campervan to tent area which I liked.
Disliked The pub is only open Thursday to sunday and the shop is only open 10-4, and when we went during those times it was closed. But this didn't spoil anything.

Back to the old school way of camping - pick a spot when you arrive!
Facilities were clean and accessible.

A lovely place but have to be prepared for the distance to showers
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The calm and relaxing nature and being away from phone reception and no WiFi.
Disliked The shower block being so far from the campsite made no sense when there were toilets and washing up area within metres. This does not make sense and having to go along the road makes it harder if you had children.

Beautiful campsite with an incredibly peaceful steam
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked How clean, tidy and well laid out the camp site was.
The toilets and washing up point was always clean and stocked up, warm water too! Tho it tended to run out for the morning breakfast pot wash.
Pitches were clearly labelled and Daniel was very friendly and informative about the camp.
There is a walk to the showers and it says it's 6 minutes but I'd say it's shorter than that.
Shower cubicles are very large, clean and warm, there's also a separate room with a hair dryer and a freezer for icepacks.
Disliked Would be better to pay per pitch rather than per person but I understand quite a few campsites do charge this way.

Liked We really enjoyed our stay at Seatoller Farm. The peacefulness of the small and simple campsite next to the river made for a lovely stay. The location is a great starting point for lots of walks and only a short drive away from Buttermere and Keswick. The Yew Tree pub 5 minutes down the road was also great.
