Liked We had the best two best night's here. The site itself is basic with a shower and portaloos but they're kept very clean. I liked the little touches with the slate signs and the pretty flower pots. The best bits were the views which were absolutely gorgeous, the proximity of the site to the local attractions and also the hostess herself who was lovely to chat to and very welcoming.

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the location, views, and peaceful atmosphere of the site. It was a pleasure to help you find us, and I'm glad the hand-drawn map got you here in the end! Thank you also for your kind words about the welcome and the local tips for getting into Staveley.
It's great to hear that you found the site clean, tidy and well maintained, and we're especially pleased that you'd recommend us and plan to return.

From the manager: Thank you for your review.
We're so glad you enjoyed our campsite and the facilities it has to offer.
We're sorry to hear that some of your neighbours were noisy during your stay. We do ask all guests to keep noise to a minimum, both when they arrive and in the information we send out before their stay, and it's also stated on Pitchup. I also do a walk around the site between 7pm and 8pm each evening. Most guests are very considerate, but unfortunately there's always the occasional exception.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to see you again soon!

Liked Lovely quiet site. Shower block and toilets cleaned regularly and drinking water topped up frequently.
Great location for fell walks and not a far walk down into the nearby village.

Fantastic little spot, very quiet campsite and remote which is perfect
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely quiet spot to relax and enjoy the area in the evenings or during the day.
Nice to have a warm shower after a day of hiking in the lakes.
Basic but more than enough amenities for a short break in the lakes, and very well situated with Windermere only 10 minute drive away.
The hosts/owners were very nice and welcoming when they come round to check on the site.
Disliked Signage to find the campsite was a little difficult with no signs from the small village or main road, which would have been useful, and being very remote gps couldn’t find the exact access location. (In fairness the owners were very helpful at getting us unlost and giving directions when speaking on the phone)
The site was quite busy and only one water point situated next to the loo’s meant a bit of queuing while people washed their dishes or filled their water bottles.

Liked A Beautiful, Peaceful site with stunning views all around. We parked the car on the Friday when we arrived and didn’t use it until we left on the Monday, plenty of walks right from the Farm. We did an amazing circular one day up in the hills and the following day walked along tops and dropped down into Kentmere. The owners were on top of stocking up the facilities and cleaning them throughout the day and they were a lovely couple. The site is basic just as advertised, but provides everything that you need, Toilets, A Shower and drinking Water.
We will most definitely return to this site when they re open next Season.☺️

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Brilliant camp site really gives the wild camping feel with sheep surrounding and pretty much in the hills. The owner came to clean every morning so although it was portaloos they were very nice and clean so not an issue! Lovely location only a 15 minute drive to lake Windermere. Also the most amazing celestial sky if you enjoy stars, the clearest and most beautiful views. Thankyou!
Disliked I would say the only downfall for me personally was the shower! It was a nice clean shower facility however it was either extremely cold water or extremely hot water with no in between so made it a bit difficult to shower at some points ( this may have been my own fault though)
