What customers say
This is a well-maintained, peaceful campsite offering a range of facilities including a shop, pizza van, and bar. Visitors praise the exceptionally clean and modern shower/toilet facilities, friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful rural location, ideal for exploring the Lake District. Pitches are generally spacious, and the site is well-suited for families and dog owners. Some guests mention narrow access roads and occasional issues with shower sensors or water pressure, but these are minor points in an overwhelmingly positive experience.

Nice site but needs to sort the showers.
Electric grass campervan or tent pitch (large)
Liked The location was pleasant with some nice walking and a decent pub not far away. The site had decent extras such as a little pub of its own and a pizza van.
Disliked The men’s showers were grim. I don’t think they were cleaned the 3 days we were there. Th me floor was always an inch deep in cold, muddy water and the shower cut out every few seconds. Disappointed for £45 a night.

Great little campsite, would visit again :)
Non-electric grass tent pitch (small)
Liked The little bar was great and we enjoyed the freshly made pizzas from the pizza van as it was too rainy to BBQ. Very friendly staff, modern and clean facilities and the fridges were especially helpful for re-freezing our cool box blocks!
Disliked Would have been nice to have vegan cheese on the pizza as advertised but these things happen. Shame about the heavy rain too but obviously not the campsite's fault!

Lovely site, great base for exploring surrounding areas.
Electric gravel campervan pitch
Liked A great base to explore the south of Lake Windermere! Site was well looked after and the facilities were immaculate - very modern and always clean & tidy. Staff were very polite and always an added bonus when there is a pizza van, little shop & tap room! WiFi was great whilst we were there also. Very dog friendly, we always appreciate sites that are more than just dog tolerant so this was a big bonus for us ☺️
Disliked Very narrow track to and from where the site is located from the main road which needs to be minded when booking here if you aren’t used to those types of roads.
Pitches are very close together, we felt as though we were on top of the pitches around us and vice versa so there is very little privacy.
