Beautiful site.
Terrace electric optional grass campervan pitch
Liked Small but not too small camp site.
Some great walks straight from the site so no need to move the van from the pitch.
Great little shop.
Food wagon with made to order pizza and they were really good too.

Overall a lovely site and one I would definitely consider again.
Electric optional grass tent pitch (large)
Liked Very good site in a brilliant area. Lots of nice amenities on site with modern shower and toilet blocks, access to fridge / freezers, small shop and bar. We booked a plot with electrical hook up but when I found my cable to be too short the staff on site were more than happy to help by lending me an extension lead for my stay. The pizza from the on site van was also very lovely and the vibe of the entire site was clean, friendly and relaxing.
Disliked The only improvements I would make would be a better range of items in the on site shop as I noticed a few other people that were staying also mention the addition of some more meats, etc.. for bbq would be nice. And also the plots seemed quite close together but everyone on the site was very friendly and it wasn’t much bother at all.

In the end we could not…
Terrace electric optional grass campervan pitch
Liked In the end we could not use our booking due to ambiguity over the size and type of awning you are permitted to use on some pitches. Once we received a response from the site on this they were very polite and kindly refunded us as we had needed to find alternative accommodation. We appreciated this customer service.
Disliked Booked a terrace campervan pitch with option for an awning. We use a habitable awning that attaches to our van with a tunnel section. However, this site seems to only accept roof mounted pull out awnings 1.5m deep or less on these smaller terrace pitches so we’d have been unable to use our awning if we’d tried to use our booking. Spent ages trying to get clarification from the site on this but office only open weekdays, so you will get no response to emails, phone messages etc. over the weekend - something to be aware of if you need to get hold of them. As noted above, once we did get a response, they were great.

Fantastic site, clean and safe.
Electric optional grass campervan or tent pitch (large)
Liked Really clean and quiet site with all the amenities you could need or want.
We really enjoyed our stay and would come back. The area is lovely and plenty to visit, although our favourite day was the day we spent on site enjoying the sun.
Disliked Showers and taps have no way to control the temperature so if you were brushing your teeth after someone has washed their hands, the water was warm.

- Excellent washing up facilities with food bins which are composted.
- Well stocked shop
- Good size pitches
- People kept to the rules and we were not disturbed in the evening after quiet time
- helpful staff

Disliked - The pitches were a little close together

Perfect, small site. Everything I would like in a campsite.
Lodge
Liked Lovely small side. I stayed in one of the wooden lodges. Very well equipped shop, with friendly hosts. Toilets and showers are very modern and clean. I liked the onsite pizza and pastries. There’s a tap room too, although I didn’t use it on this visit. Nice location, close to Fell Foot park where I hired a kayak for an hour. I’ll definitely be returning (I’ve already booked)

Non-electric grass tent pitch (medium)
Liked This is a smaller campsite so you aren't too far away from the amenities. Very laid back atmosphere. Good quality pitch, everything was clean and as described on the listing. Will definitely come again. Lovely pizza too!

Electric optional grass tent pitch (large)
Liked Food options on campsite, shop, bar, shower/toilet block, scenery, bbq hiring, picnic bench provision. Quiet site, lovely staff.
Disliked Showers could be improved if temperature was adjustable but loved that it was never cold so thank you. Quite strict online with arrival and rules but in reality the staff were lovely and very accommodating.
