What customers say
This working farm campsite is praised for its peaceful, quiet rural setting with beautiful views and friendly, helpful staff. Many guests enjoyed the closeness to farm animals and the dog-friendly, spacious pitches, especially the pods with enclosed gardens. While facilities are generally described as basic but clean, some minor improvements and updates are noted as planned for future seasons, including additional toilets and a more accessible grey waste disposal.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Everyone was so friendly and easy going. The owners were lovely and so helpful. The location was great for dog walks. The site is an actual working farm so you would know what to expect. It was perfect.. the views are lovely and it’s so nice and quiet which is why we chose it to get our dog away from the fireworks on New Years Eve.. and we only heard one.. so perfect! Our dog was happy and so were we 😁. We would have liked to stay longer than 2 nights but had to get back for work 😞

Skiddaw-view camping pod
Liked Good little site. Pods do as advertised, clean with microwave, kettle, fridge & fan heater. Beds comfy. Great for dogs as each pod has its very own small paddock (fenced). Toilets & shower close by & clean. Recommend for quite get away. Will be back 👍
Disliked Grass in pod paddock bit long ( but was October) Hardcore bit ruff on walking to showers/toilets. Bit dark at toilets even with movement activated lights.

From the manager: Thanks for a lovely review, it's really hard finding a window in the winter to cut the grass when it doesn't churn it up! Hope to see you again soon 😊

Functional facilities and clean.

Liked Good level plot. Farmer welcomed us but only gave us a brief idea of where things were. It was raining so not really surprising! Nice quiet spot with lovely farm ambience!
Disliked Inaccessible toilet rolls! Lack of clear signs to identify entrance from main road! Some very usual information arrived in our inbox 2 hours AFTER we left! Fortunately a couple of local teens helped us find it!

Liked Site was quite and clean, great vies and plenty of annimals and wildlife in the area.
Pitch fairly flat and having the services at pitch is always appreciated.
Disliked Grey waste drop off could be a little more accessable as we only carry a 1 meter extrension pipe and the drop off can't be driven over or any closer than approx 2m. Otherwise all fine
