What customers say
Skelwith Fold is praised for its beautiful wooded setting, excellent and spotlessly clean facilities (including modern shower blocks with underfloor heating), and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Guests highlight the convenient location, with easy access to Ambleside, and enjoy the spacious pitches and lovely walks. While some found the touring area less scenic or noted occasional queues for showers during peak times, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Liked I think we may have just found a new favourite site! Booked fort birthday weekend but due to work commitments we couldn’t arrive until after 8pm. Very few sites allow for such late arrivals so straight away that was a plus! The gentleman who greeted us was fantastic and very friendly and helpful. The site is absolutely beautiful and well maintained! We preordered some pizzas from the food truck (pre booking is a must saw a fair few turned away as they were sold out) Definitely going to be coming back and bringing the rugrats. Would highly recommend this site!

1 bedroom camping pod (no pets, six person)
Liked They say first impressions count; they got it, spot on at Skelwith Fold.
When we arrived at reception, we were met with smiles by all. Everything was explained, and then we were taken to our family Hideaway pod, not just told we were taken by a member of staff, perfect!
Everything was explained again, and there was a bottle of bubbly in the fridge and a large disposable barbecue for us to enjoy.
The family Hideaway pod was spotless and offered beautiful walks for everyone. I would definitely recommend it and will be returning.
