Niepolubione The pitched were on stone and not attractive. Was told to go pick a pitch on arrival as none allocated. Drove round with most with reservations on them only 2 spots out of 30 free. Site not really for children very quiet

We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the appearance of the pitches. Due to the typical Lake District weather we experience, our hardstanding pitches are specifically designed to provide a practical, reliable surface in wetter conditions. We understand that they may not have the same appearance as grass pitches, but this is something we feel is particularly important for comfort and accessibility throughout the year.

We also appreciate your comments regarding pitch allocation. We don’t pre-allocate pitches, as we prefer to give guests the flexibility to choose their preferred pitch on arrival. During school holidays and other busy periods, however, availability can naturally become more limited, particularly for guests arriving later in the day.

We’re also sorry that the site felt quiet and not particularly suited to children. We pride ourselves on being a family-friendly site, with our large outdoor adventure playground, library, nature trails and nature hide, all designed to give families plenty to enjoy. We appreciate that everyone has different expectations, and we’re sorry that the atmosphere during your stay didn’t meet yours.

Polubione We love everything, from the greeting on arrival to the pitch size (premium). The staff out and about were friendly and helpful. Location was good to Ambleside and surrounding areas. Toilets, showers were spotless at all times. The laundry area was an added bonus. Also a library, thought of everything.

Niepolubione I would have like the shop to be open a bit longer in the evening but not a deal breaker.

Polubione What an amazing campsite, staff were so friendly and courteous, always smiling and helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them, they location was outstanding, so many beautiful walks, the park itself is spotless, toilets and showers are very well maintained and spacious, play area for the kids was the best on any site we have stayed on, the shop was very well stocked with everything you need, fresh bread delivered daily,
We will definitely be returning

Polubione Lovely clean facilities, never an issue with the toilets or showers. Beautiful site, that is clearly well looked after. The park and its facilities are fantastic. Would definitely return and recommend.

Niepolubione The shop could be done with staying open a little longer. We didn’t bring the correct pegs a not getting the awning up would have been disastrous as our van was full. We called the warden, who was as helpful as he could be and said we needed different pegs but we couldn’t get any them as the shop was shut. Over the stay there was a few times we could have used the shop but as it shut at 17:30 we always missed out.

Polubione The site is in a beautiful location with really good pitches. The water pressure was excellent and the facilities including the onsite shop was brilliant.

Niepolubione If you need signal or WiFi you can forget about it. It is very poor!
It got very noisy with dogs constantly barking and kids screaming.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed with the WiFi and noise during your stay. As we're in a rural location, WiFi and mobile signal can be variable and unfortunately cannot be guaranteed. We do make guests aware of this at check-in, as both our WiFi service and mobile coverage can be affected by the surrounding landscape and individual network providers.

We're also sorry that noise from other guests impacted your stay. We have a warden on duty specifically to help with issues such as excessive noise, barking dogs, or disturbances, and we do wish you'd contacted us at the time so we could have investigated and done our best to resolve the situation for you.
