What customers say
This is a well-maintained, family-friendly campsite offering spacious, level pitches and beautiful countryside views. Visitors praise the friendly and helpful owner, Liz, and the clean, basic facilities. The on-site vending machines for milkshakes, coffee, and local produce are a popular addition. Its location is ideal for exploring the coast and moors. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few guests noted occasional queues for the limited shower facilities and some minor issues with noise from other campers.

Lovely campsite with everything you need. Would highly recommend.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked This is such a lovely little campsite. Very simple but it works perfectly. The owner responds to texts and answers calls straight away. The facilities (toilets/showers/washing up station) are basic but clean and adequate for the size of campsite that this is. The little self serve farm shop with milk shake machine, coffee machine and vending machine stocking everything from eggs, sausage rolls and chocolate bars is brilliant.
When you arrive you find an empty pitch then contact the owner to let them know which pitch you are on. You can hire windbreaks, fire pits (with everything you need to light and fuel them) and can purchase marshmallow kits. Payment can be made via card which is amazing as I rarely have cash on me. The location is brilliant, about 15 mins drive from Whitby town centre and just over 30 mins to Saltburn. It was the perfect base to stay overnight and then head to the beach the next day.
I would definitely consider staying longer next time.
Disliked The owner said they are only open May half term and during the summer holidays which is understandable but sad as this is a lovely campsite and would be great for the odd weekend camp whenever the weather is nice enough. This is the only negative I could think of and not really a negative!

Lovely site close to Runsiwck Bay and Staithes.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely, simple site. Great views and clean facilities. The kids loved the home made milkshakes. Hearing curlews and owls and the beautiful sunsets.
Disliked We didn't realise we had to pitch close to the fence so were asked to move the tent after we'd pitched it in high winds. This was quite stressful.
