What customers say
Popular, peaceful spot in stunning country. Praised for roomy, flat pitches and helpful owner Liz. Great facilities, fresh milk from vending machines is a hit. Excellent value base for exploring. Some queues for facilities, more showers desired. Many will return.

Oak bell tent (two person)
Liked Clean, spacious, waterproof bell tent for a good price. I've never seen this option to hire the tent already put up before and it made a 1 night weekend break much smoother, loved it.
Easy arrival process and loved the on site vending machines, coffee machine and that they sell pizza on the weekend.
The campsite was peaceful and quiet. Probably the quietest campsite in the morning that we've stayed in before.
Disliked The toilet cubicles are very small and no hooks to hang up toiletry bags/towel so it's quite difficult to wash face/brush teeth. Adding hooks would be really helpful.
The shower took a really long time to heat up but I was using it at an off peak time so they might heat up no problem at peak times.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked This is our second year of staying here and it was great. Liz is never far away, always friendly and helpful. The facilities are very clean and tidy, plus the added bonus of fridge freezers for any cold items you may have. The milkshakes always goes down a treat too.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Lovely, simple site in a quiet rural spot. Liz the owner is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Excellent location for visiting nearby coastal sights. Lealholm just down the road is a very pretty little village. Loved the spacious pitches around the edge of the field and the set up which allowed us to watch the kids play in the middle. The vending machines (with milkshakes) and communal fridges were great extras.
Disliked Only very minor, but maybe could do with a couple of sinks separate to the toilets for teeth brushing.
