Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked: A very beautiful, well kept site. Nice level pitches with a lovely outlook, I would have been happy with any pitch. A lovely information hut which gave bus timetables, local restaurant and pub information, suggestions for local walks, and offered a variety of dvds to borrow. Very pleasant and friendly host. Bus stop directly outside the site, fantastic for travelling into York. We were delighted with the roaming peacocks who wandered about. No showers or toilets but we are happy to use our own facilities. Very pleasant stay and if you get a chance visit Selby Abbey, one of the most interesting and welcoming abbey/cathedrals I have visited.
Disliked: The road was busy and when we walked it was very fast, but it was at 5pm. So would recommend to pick your walking times accordingly.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked: Lovely well maintained site, very clean. On arrival had a dear in field behind us, 2 peacocks come to visit us on a regular basis, along with 4-5 peahens. Lots of other different birds calling. Site has benches with 'quirky' camping phrases on, just to give it a homely feel. Information 'hut' on site stocked with information on surrounding area. Books, board games, dvds and cds to borrow. Information board giving location of local shops (including Post code and distance) Bus stop right outside gate.
